Coming from Australia, I found the history of Italica amazing. Seeing actual ruins from the 2nd century is awesome . Great tour I had a wonderful time and as I am an older female solo traveller I would recommend it to other solo travellers.

I can’t even give this a star as we were so disappointed. Oversold and totally underwhelmed. We have done the GoT in Dubrovnik and that was fantastic. We went to the Italia film set but no information what so ever about GOT nothing! We think that we were lumped with a tour of people who booked to see Italia and rather than lose money company sent us on the tour. Don’t waste your money and opt for another tour. The tour is sold as film sets of GOT heading says film sets plural but you see one and that’s pushing it. After you are taken to a monestry that is nothing to do with the tv show! Currently asking for refund from your company Viator are aware of out dissatisfaction . I have done 30 trips with viator and never been disappointed up until now!

This was a great tour. The sites are only 20-30 minutes away fro Seville by bus. It was interesting learning about Rome’s first settlement in Spain. Carlos, the tour guide, was very knowledgeable. The Emperors Hadrian and Trajan were both born here. The monastery was also interesting. Two little notes though. This isn’t really a Game of Thrones filming site tour. The guide mentioned quickly on our way out: “oh, by the way, the arena was the site of the dragon pit in Game of Thrones”. This wasn’t a big deal to me since I was really there for the Roman ruins, but I can imagine that someone specifically signing up for a Game of Thrones tour might be disappointed. The other thing is that despite Trip Advisor’s lowest price guarantee, the tour was about $10 cheaper if bought through the tour operator. I contacted Viatour (Trip Advisor booked the tour through them), and submitted a claim through their lowest price guarantee process, and a refund of the difference was provided promptly.

I absolutely loved the tour guide. She was amazing and very informative. The tour was fantastic, educational and as a GOT (Game of Thrones) fan a dream come true.

Really enjoyable few hours spent at Italica. It’s a fascinating place and being able to get so close to the stadium and the town was amazing. Our guide, Jesus, was a real highlight. He was knowledgeable and really entertaining. And was able to field questions in several languages.

The negatives: they cancelled our trip and only contacted us via WhatsApp (something we don’t have) to let us know. On the day of we waited and waited at the departure point. We also “lost time” so to speak having planned for this trip. The positives: they processed our refund very quickly (in full) and we’re very polite and friendly about it. Note to management: make sure to contact guests via email - not only WhatsApp!

Get the bus from Seville €1.60 each way.Take a sun hat sun cream and bottle of water! Entrance is free. Great to wander around this arcealogical site with many restoration works going on to the mosaics. Visualise GOT this is where they filmed part of last season . Watch the free video in room to right as you enter the site.

We thoroughly enjoyed our half-day trip to Italica. Our guide, Miguel, made the history of this Roman city come alive. The site is large and well managed. I found the anticlimactic Monastery tour and pit stop for a taste of local wine to be superfluous. Nonetheless, we whole-heartedly recommend the tour.

We booked this tour as we are big Game of Thrones fans and it sounded great. However, once we got to Italica, it soon become obvious that this was just a historical tour of the Roman ruins, and this was later confirmed by the guide. There was no mention of Game of Thrones at all during the whole tour. This was despite the fact that our printed ticket, which the guide inspected and scanned as we boarded the bus, specifically stated GAME OF THRONES TOUR in large letters! We are trying to claim our money back from Viator. If you have booked this tour, check what you're going to get before you go!

We went on this tour of a Roman site without knowing it was a Game of Thrones filming location. I'm a fan of Roman stuff and GoT, and so the latter was a welcome bonus. The trip was quick, cheap, fun and informative, and was led by a friendly, bubbly guide who provided information in Spanish and English. A two-hour-tour (including a 15-minute bus ride each way) didn't seem very long at first, but given the 37 degree days in June, it turned out to be just right.
