I toured Arusha like a local, walking and taking public transportation (bajaj and delala) with the help of my fantastic guide Ben. Ben picked me up on time from the hotel, and we went around the different interesting sights and places in Arusha that included a fascinating art gallery with works from various East African artists, a shop that employs Maasai women, and even a public market where I was able to practice my haggling skills. :D We bought some delicious fruits from the market that I ate with my lunch ( included in the tour). :D The day was so much fun that I did not realize I had spent so much time already, and before I knew it, I was already done with the tour and back at my hotel. I am glad that I was able to do this tour with someone like Ben who was passionate about Arusha and treated me like an old friend that he was just taking around to show his beloved hometown. I already miss Arusha and hope to be back within the next year!
