During our 90 minute walking ghost tour, our City of Charleston licensed tour guides recount hauntings and supernatural events from our best-selling book The Ghosts of Charleston. We are fortunate to have many repeat guests, and lots of tales to share, so we switch things up nightly by varying ghosts stories on every tour. There is no experience like walking enchanted Charleston at night, listening to our supernatural stories, and encountering what you will see and hear in the Unitarian Church Graveyard.

The highlight of Tour Charleston's Ghosts of Charleston Tour is entering the lush, spellbinding Unitarian Church Graveyard built in 1772. Real time hauntings occur only a handful of times a year. However, since 1996, when we started what is now Charleston's oldest ghost tour, spirits in the Unitarian Church Graveyard have reached out to many people on our tour in visual, tactile and auditory ways.

*Travelers may select either a 1-hour Graveyard Only Tour or a 1.5-hour full Ghosts of Charleston tour which includes Unitarian Graveyard and tour of haunted downtown Charleston.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund

What a fun experience! Mark did a great job with the tour and was quite knowledgeable! My daughter and I loved it! One of the highlights of our trip. Would have loved a little more time in the graveyard.

Brian was an amazing tour guide. He was a great storyteller and extremely knowledgeable and engaging. He was so humble and you could tell he really wanted to make sure everyone had the best experience. He recited Annabel Lee in regards to a ghost story and his rendition was so heartfelt and poetic. He brought the dead to life with his passion for keeping their stories alive.

The stories about Annabelle Lee at the Unitarian Church was fascinating as well as the stories told at Poogan’s Porch. We now want to return to Poogan’s to find out more! Thank you Brian!

My parents and I recently visited Charleston and were told we HAD to do a ghost tour. We had Mark as a tour guide and he was amazing! Such a good storyteller and truly cared about everyone’s safety the entire time. I had a boot on because of a fracture and Mark asked me countless times if I wanted to sit down or ask if he was going too fast. This was a perfect blend of family friendly ghost stories. His story about Annabelle Lee at the end of the tour had me so intrigued. Thank you for a great tour and even better tour guide!

We had an enjoyable time on this tour with Brian leading the way. He shared equal parts history, enchantment, and humor. The finale of the tour will shed light onto an American Romeo and Juliet love story. Highly recommend this tour through Buxton Books!

We definitely enjoyed the tour, but we were a little disappointed that the ghost stories that we heard were mostly centered around a book. We heard other tours around us discussing stories related to the civil war and other topics. We recommend maybe choosing a different tour if you are looking for different stories.
