Itinerary
First let me say that this experience is not for everyone! glassblowing is an extremely physical craft, so if you are afraid of extreme heat or intense physical activity then i suggest you to do a simple guided tour... but if you are ready for an intense experience that will live in your memories and heart forever than you are in the right place!
Step 1 - Practical exercises with no glass: hands on exercises to develop glassblowing’s basic movements and hand eye coordination.
Step 2 - practical exercises with hot glass: hands on exercises with hot glass to develop a good feeling with the moving 1000 C molten glass
Step 3 - blow your own Murano glass artifact: you will have time to either make a drinking cup/ornament or a small custom glass vase
The piece will have to anneal overnight so you can pick it up the next day. We can also ship your piece to you anywhere in the world but it is not included in the cost of the experience.

This experience was a dream come true! I have always wanted to try glass blowing, and there was no better place I could imagine than Wave Murano. My sister and I had Hilary for an instructor along with 2 other people. She was AMAZING. So kind, patient, helpful and informative. We got to see the staff in action as well as making our own glasses which they shipped home to us. If I ever go back, I would do this again in a heartbeat, and cannot recommend it enough to anyone interested in giving glassblowing a try!

I signed my seventeen year old son and I up for this tour, with no intention of taking part in it but didn’t think they would let my minor son do it if I didn’t do it. Our guide was Benji. He was very knowledgeable as well as extremely patient. He encouraged me to give glass blowing a try. If I made a mistake he showed me again and had me try it over, while being extremely patient and positive. My son asked him question after question and he answered each of the questions in detail and even showed us examples. I am so glad I participated and would highly recommend this tour. Thank you, Benji for making it an awesome experience for my son and I.

Initially, we booked a tour to go through the glass factory. The price for the tour was more than other places around the island. However, after reading several reviews for Wave Murano Glass Factory and other places, I was convinced that this was where we wanted to go. I had been to Murano many years ago as a child, and my husband had never been, so we wanted to book somewhere where we could actually learn a bit more than what other factories were offering in their "5-minute demonstrations". And we surely did learn a lot! The tour was led by one of the artists, (unfortunately, I do not recall her name) she was very knowledgeable and we saw many places within the factory. When we were there most of the team was working on a bigger project, and it was very interesting to see them all work in tandem. After the tour, we enquired about the quick course to blow our small vase. Luckily it was possible to do, and we enjoyed this even more than the tour! It was a very hands-on experience and truly made us appreciate the artists' skills even more! They make it look so easy, but it is not!!! Another artist was our "teacher" and she too was very knowledgeable!
If you're considering booking the course, or just the tour, do not hesitate to. You will learn a lot at this relatively new, but very modern glass factory!

Fabulous! The best! Great instructor! Lots of actual hands-on practice. And we each got a piece that we made to go home with us! Again - our instructor was wonderful!

Amazing experience, highly recommend! Ana was fantastic, she gave a very informative tour to start the experience then did a wonderful job helping us make glass items of our own. It was a very hands on process, allowing us to make glass from beginning to end. Then you can either pick up your item the next day or ship it home. This was one of our favorite experiences so far in Italy.

This was an amazing experience. Our Australian teacher explained all the steps necessary to make a piece of glass sculpture. She then patiently worked with us at each stage to make our masterpieces. I loved every moment of this, and the three hours went by in a flash. I couldn’t recommend this more.

It was really amazing!! The workshop is held inside the normal production, which really makes it feel, like you are in the middle of it all. The people there are very friendly and you can tell everybody loves their job! We also watched the regular glass production and our instructor explained all of the steps from start to the finished product, which was great. Wonderful experience!
Just a tip, plan a few hours to spend in Murano, because the glass has to cool.
