This was such a fun and informative tour! We really felt like we got to know Valladolid and the area a lot better with this tour. We started early in the morning getting picked up at 8:45am directly from our hotel in Valladolid. Our guide, Jose, took us to the municipal market in Valladolid and took us around, explaining to us what kind of products were typical of the region. We felt no pressure at all to buy anything, as MexiGo Tours not not make commissions or anything from the sellers. We enjoyed seeing lots of products made of sisal (a kind of plant fiber from agave), carved jicara, leather shoes made by hand, delicious homemade chocolate from the region, as well as homemade hot sauce, powdered Chile to eat on top of mango, and lots of other delicious things. After the market, we went to the cenote Oxman. It was absolutely breathtaking. We took lots of photos and videos there, as well as had so much fun swimming in the cool, refreshing water. We then visited another cenote of which I forget the name, which was also nice. Our tour guide Jose had free cold bottled water and snacks for us in the van, which we really appreciated. We then visited the Mayan village of Xocen and were invited into the home of a Mayan family, who very kindly taught us how to make tortillas while they prepared eggs with longaniza (a local sausage), guacamole, and hot sauce. We then ate a delicious lunch together. Our guide translated for us, even though we spoke Spanish, because the family spoke mostly Maya language. We also visited a family who makes authentic Mexican hammocks. They gave us a demonstration of how the hammocks were made by hand, and then allowed us to look at a few. We felt no pressure at all to buy, and enjoyed watching the process of how it was made. Our tour guide Jose was so friendly, kind, and informative. He had so much information to give us about the local people, food, and places, culture, and history. We felt so culturally enriched after our time with him. If we ever return to the area, we would like to take some more tours with MexiGo Tours. We 100% recommend them!

The tour guide was EXCELLENT! He was very patient and accommodating. Yucatan is currently going through a heat wave and the temperatures have been extreme. One person from the group was not feeling well, so he offered her to ride with him in the motorcycle so that she could rest. He was very compassionate and knowledgeable. Very good experience. You do need to be in good shape for this activity. We rode for about 22 kilometers (13.64 miles); so do not do this activity if you have back or knee problems. We were all exhausted by the end but everyone in the group said it was definitely worth it!! The Cenotes we visited were AMAZING and the food at the Maya household was very good. Be prepared to spend all day doing this activity (especially if you want to spend extra time at the cenotes). We had the option to add a third cenote to the trip (Oxmun) and it was the best decision we ever made.

This tour was incredible! We had the best time biking and checking out cenotes but our favorite part was getting the opportunity to experience Mayan culture (and eat the best tacos we’ve ever had) through our visits with the locals. We’re so grateful for their hospitality and for these experiences! Our guide Jose was fantastic - he was super knowledgeable, happy to answer questions, and kept the tour fun. This was such a beautiful and fun way to experience Valladolid! Really one of the best things we did during our entire trip to Mexico

We had a very nice bicycle tour with José , visiting the market, where locals buy their food. After that we went to two cenotes and also had lunch in a traditional way with Dona Raphaela in a Mayan family. And José speaks very good French. Thanks for the experience!

We spent 1 day with Mexigo Tours and José in August and this surprise activity (organised by our Tour agency, Mexikoo) was really wonderful from A to Z. Our tour guide José was excellent : extremely expert on Mayan culture and Valladolid but also really really friendly guy. Each activity was wonderful : the visit of the city, the visit of the local market of fresh products, the trip to the 2 cenotes, the lunch at the mayan family (won't forget José pouring tons of habaneros piment on his tortilla...), everything was wonderful. Thanks a lot to him and Mekigo tours !

José was a great tour guide! He took us all over the place and was knowledgeable about the history of the area. We biked around 14 miles, but stopped frequently enough that it wasn’t strenuous (for two 24-year-olds). We would recommend this!

Excellent Choice, Very Friendly and professional personal, Toon was very flexible accommodating to our schedule as we were some of the first to take a tour after the shut down for the Covid-19, Jose and Gilberto are also great guiders, very patient as one of out team mates was a little slow, The Bike ride its about 15 Km and the scenery is amazing, we experience some of the local villages including a Tortilla making with Doña Rafaela and 2 Senotes. This is a perfect way to start you trip and explore Valladollid.
