The guide, named Sheldon, was probably the best guide we have ever had on any trip anywhere. Was truly helpful and informative.

Just the sheer magnitude of the upper desert and changing landscape as the train increased in elevation was a unique experience. Craig was our coach attendant and was professional and entertaining! Great ambassador of the Railroad.

The was an amazing experience!! Our guide was the most educational and entertaining guide for this trip! We took so many pictures and will definitely recommend this to all of our friends. He knew just where to go to see and take the best pictures and views. Be aware the train ride is one-way not a round trip, another couple didn't realize it.

The tour guide (Sheldon Finkelstein of Great Venture Tours) was amazing. We were supposed to take the train into the park and hook up with him again there. We were so glad to change that plan so that we skipped the train and did the whole tour with Son. We entered the park at the east entrance (avoiding lots of traffic). We spent our time seeing the canyon first! Sheldon took us to places where the crowds weren’t…off the beaten path. We ended at the south rim. Sheldon’s knowledge was incredible! We learned so much and he answered every question. He made sure our creature comforts were met. We bonded so well that 5 different groups ate lunch together. Sheldon always gave us options for how long we stopped. We were picked up at 8:15 in Flagstaff and were dropped off at 5:45.

The railroad was clean and simple. My concern was with not knowing I was through a third party once I clicked trip advisors recommendation- I went to a third party. Go through the railroad directly to understand your options. Lunch is not on your own. You go to a cafeteria so don’t make a reservation at one of the hotel restaurants. Our railroad was one way and we had a tour on a van back and also to the railroad in Williams. The transportation was fine. (Arizona Tours). Picked up in Sedona at our hotel and got us to Williams for train.

Our tour guide was fabulous. I gave it a 4 because the train ride was extremely slow and long. 2.5hr ride from Williams to the Grand Canyon. The staff on the train were great though. The overall experience was great just the train pace and no scenery.

Just an awesome experience! The train ride was relaxing and fun. Our tour guide Al was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable and kept us entertained with stories about the local culture, history and geology. He took us through the Grand canyon and we had plenty of time to enjoy the view and take pictures. There are no words to describe the views of course!!! I highly recommend this tour! It's especially nice if you don't want to drive and find parking.

The train was fun with the music and shoot out show. Great views if you have never seen Arizona! The van tour was also worth it. We had AL. He was funny, knowledgeable, and so kind and helpful. He got a lot of photos for us and shared so many funny stories along with information. He gave us ample time at each photo point and never rushed us. A plus ➕️!!!!!

If you enjoy trains this is a fun way to get to the Grand Canyon. Cat, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and knew the area so well that we got the most of our time at the South Rim. I would highly recommend this tour.
