It was a birthday present. Unfortunately , due to illness that started the day before, the poor birthday girl could not go. KeyTours was informed and medical proofs were provided. Key Tours nor Tripadvisor did not provide any refund.

Where to start it was an excellent tour and Roger our guide and his driver exceeds expectations. There was dull moment and it was well planned and paced. Love the chocolatier and cheese factory. Impress with Swiss wines. But the medieval village was spectacular. A most of in the area.

Long bus ride (all day) from Geneva and back for a 30+ minute visit to a chocolate factory and then a cheese factory, with quick lunch. Then a relatively short train ride (30 minutes to an hour) on the edge of the Alps that has limited views. And relatively expensive for this experience. If you’re looking for the Alps, take the time to get into the Alps.

I booked this trip before we arrived in Geneva and was simple to book. We picked the coach up at the bus terminal (which was approx 5 minutes from our hotel) and we had Patty (I think) as our tour guide.
The microphone wasn't working which meant useful info was delivered when we stopped but this didn't really detract from the trip.
The first stop was Maison Cailler where the tour was really informative and well presented before going on to taste the chocolate- there was a great selection and def aided what chocolate to buy in the shop. Thr only downside was that it was a very hot day so we did have some level of meltage (they do sell cool bags in the shop but completely missed that!
From chocolate onto cheese. I didn't enjoy this part of the trip as much but was informative. We then had fondue at the restaurant, which was nice, before heading to the very picturesque village of Gruyeres.
This village was truly lovely, with the castle on the top of the hill to the eclectic museums in the town.
After the village, it was on to the panoramic train. This was a lovely way to see some Swiss countryside. The seating wasn't great as, although reserved, did mean there wasn't space for people to sit with their party
On completion of the train ride, we were picked up and taken back to Geneva. This was a lovely day trip and am glad we booked it.

Highly recommend this day trip. Perfect mixture of beautiful views and tasty food.
My highlight had to be visiting Gruyère medieval village. It was stunning, felt like real life beauty and the beast village.
