The best all day adventure combo on Rincon de la Vieja Volcano that includes ziplining, horseback riding, river tubing, full lunch, hot springs, and volcanic mud bath.
Ziplining
First you will get strapped in your harness and start the ziplining course through the canopy and canyons! The course takes you into a steep canyon over a turbulent river, where you will zipline, rappel and rock climb, cross hanging bridges and ride Tarzan swings. You will go down 8 zip line cables, 18 platforms, a climbing wall, a hanging bridge, “via ferrata” (cable) rappel, and a tarzan swing!
Horseback Riding
After ziplining, you will return to the tour base to prepare for a 45-minute horseback ride through the forest viewing the local flora and fauna of Rincon de la Vieja Volcano

River Tubing - You will have the time of your life bouncing down Rio Negro’s crystal clear and fun rapids in your individual rafting “tube” for over 5 kilometers.
Lunch includes many choices of entrees and sides, dessert bar, fresh juice, coffee and tea. All dietary resctrictions can be accommodated

Hot Springs & Volcanic Mud Bath
After lunch you will driven to the Hot Springs. Surrounded by tropical dry forest, the Río Negro (Black River) Hot Springs feature ten pools with thermal waters heated naturally by the Rincón de la Vieja Volcano.The soothing mineral waters are crystal clear and all natural, and the river flows through the pools constantly refilling them with water. Relax and enjoy luxuriating in our healing waters. You can also try our volcanic mud “bath”, where you smooth volcanic clay mud all over yourself like a spa “masque,” then after it dries, wash it off with a cool river water shower. The hot springs water will feel great afterwards!

This was one of the best excursions we’ve ever done! We have never been to Costa Rica and wanted to see a variety of things. The ride was roughly 1.5 hours from our resort, but was comfortable. Horseback ride wasn’t very long but enjoyable. The tubing was a lot of fun, but as it was the drier season some places were shallow and a bit of work to get thru. The most physical part of our tour was carrying the tubes back up to the buses…but never fear they had someone to help if you couldn’t do it on your own. Lunch was good and ready for us when we arrived. Zip lines were beautiful and the hot springs were so nice to ease into at the end of the day. We were worn out when we got back but would definitely recommend!

Great trip! Pick up on time and comfortable transport. Zip line, tubing, and hot springs were great! Horse riding was okay, and buffet lunch was very good. Guide was a bit difficult to understand at times, but always helpful. Long day - well worth the money.

So the combo day had ups and downs. Horse back ride was riding in line from one place to another with no particular views or anything special. Horses appeared bored, and I hate to harsh but so was I. 1/5
Tubing was exact opposite super fun, well managed despite water levels being down a bit. 5/5
Zipline was unique and fun going through a cavern. I felt the safety of being on the line was excellent but there were so many people in the group that they failed notice othersafety violations and appeared to be rushing to get everyone through. I hit my head, not leaning back enough. No staff knew until I told them I need time I was in pain- the irritating advice was -ok lean back better. Another person put their hand in front of pulley and staff said nothing.
Fun was 4.5/5 safety 3/5.
Hot spring and mud experience. Joe spring we’re nice if you like a rustic experience. The mud appeared I. Adds like it would be s put or large amount - it was avtuallly a little bowl you were handed by a nice attendant. Definitely for earthy type folks. A few in my group were very disappointed as they thought it would be a bit more developed.

We went to Costa Rica with a group of friends and wanted to have a day of activities and this tour captured everything we wanted to do and then some! The zipline course was fantastic and, in addition to being located in a beautiful canyon with a river below, included unique features like a slide, rope bridge, rappelling, rock climbing, and rope swing. The horseback riding was very scenic and the river tubing was everyone’s favorite. The midday lunch buffet was outstanding and very well marked for food allergies. Finally, the hot springs and mud baths were a great way to relax at the end of the day. The tour bus picked us up and dropped us off on time and stopped for souvenirs along the way too. All the guides were fantastic as well. Highly recommend!

Rafting was the best by far. Slow and fast areas in the river. Saw a few iguanas and monkeys as well. Ziplining is very fun but felt rushed. Lunch was delicious. Horseback riding was about 20 minutes and could have gone without and replace that time with less rush on zip line or at mud baths which was unique and refreshing at the end to the day. Hotel pick up was well worth it. Alejandro our guide was very knowledgeable and funny.

This combo tour was super exciting and so much fun for our family with 4 teens!! We zipped line along tree tops and canyons, went rappelling, wall climbing and did the Tarzan swing. River tubing was our fave. The rapids will definitely get you drenched. They have staffs by big rapids to ensure everyone are safe. The horse ride was a pretty chill time after the first 2 adventures. We had a tasty lunch right after then ended our day with the thermal bath. The staff were very attentive and great over all.

This was a fantastic experience I highly recommend. It was definitely worth the money and even the lunch buffet was good! The guide was fabulous and I never felt rushed through the whole process of each activity.

I picked with ride ; Alejandro was our guide and Franc our driver. Great experience, everyone very friendly and truly cared for your safety. Tubing was awesome, got to see monkeys and the famous blue butterfly. 🦋 fyi when you go down the rapids lift your bum ; the tub bottom doesn’t have enough cushion lol. Zip line was crazy, so many and different scenarios. Beautiful 😍. The guys work hard to keep you safe all the time. Horseback was not great, very short and just got dust on my face and bit by mosquitoes; even with spraying a lot of off. Hot springs was good at the end to just freshen up and head back to hotel. A lot of hiking so bring tennis shoes and water shoes; they give you time to change. And they provided towels when needed. Pura Vida ✌🏼
