We had an absolutely amazing start to our trip with this tour. Our guide, Nico, was amazing- he gave the tour the perfect blend of culture and fun! 10/10 would recommend this to anyone visiting- the highlight of our trip by far!

Mary was a great guide and we learned a lot of history about the city as well as beer. Very fun and worth it. Definitely recommend this tour.

Nico was a great guide. Shared the history of both Cologne and kolsch.
The stops were not too far apart and they quickly found seats for or our group of 8.

I would highly recommend the guided brewhouse walking tour in cologne. A little bit of background history on the city, mixed in with some cultural history including , of course, the brew house culture. Our little history lesson was also learned while sampling four different Kolsch beers from the myriad of choices in the city. What’s not to like? Your history class was never this fun!

Was an interesting tour. Be aware that the tour guide will ask you for 10 euro per person on top of the tour price to cover the cost of the drinks.

Last Saturday we joined this tour and we were quite disappointed to be honest.
We knew we wouldn't get any "free" beers, as these weren't included. But as this was a guided tour, we expected a bit more guidance.
We had a really nice guide, she had answers to all our questions.
But overall, she took us from one brewhouse to the next one and ordered beers. We could have done this by ourselves as well. If you're a single traveler and don't want to go by yourself, this tour would be a nice way to find some company. But if you are, like we were, with some friends. You might as well do this by yourself and save the 20 euros. Which is way too much considering what we got out of it!
The only extra we got out of it, was the visit to the basement of one of the brewhouses, which is mostly closed to the public.

Our guide met us promptly at Heumarkt and then took a large group of us to 4 of the bierhaus' in Cologne. The guide was really knowledgeable, not just about Kolsch and the etiquette in the brewhouses, but they also knew detailed histories of Cologne, the families that owned each brewhouse and we learnt a bit about the famous Cologne carnival too.
Great way to familiarise yourself with the city, its culture and learn a bit as well... and the beers not bad either!
