Explore the canyons of Benahavís on a canyoning adventure just 15 minutes from Marbella. Swim in natural pools, tackle obstacles, and feel the excitement of jumping from cliffs into the water.
This unique beginner-level canyoning activity (also known as the Benahavís River Walk) offers the perfect opportunity to explore the stunning Spanish outdoors, combining both hiking and swimming in a breathtaking river setting. With slopes, caves, deep waters, cliffs, and loose stones, the course is certainly challenging. However, the unbelievable beauty of the area and fun experience will make it all worth it. It takes 2 to 3 hours to complete the 3 kilometers long trail. This activity is perfect for adventurers aged 8 to 65, making it a fantastic family experience.
By booking a guided tour for the river walk you will be accompanied by an experienced English speaking guide. He will take care of any needed safety equipment and help you through the tricky parts of the trail.

I decided to go canyoning alone and it exceeded all my expectations. It was more intense than I had imagined, but thanks to the great group and the fun tour guide, I had a blast. Definitely recommend it to anyone looking for adventure and enjoyment!

I was nervous going into this tour due to a prior experience in Utah, USA. From booking to actual tour was 12 hours and Celine and our guide were amazing.
We requested our wetsuit and water shoe sizes the night before.
Our guide promtly artived and kitted us up.
He was friendly and reassuring and I'm charge of our group.
He treated us as responsible adults and gave us important but minimal instruction.
This adventure for my 14 year old son and myself was just amazing and exceeded all expectations.
The river is truly alive - rock formations, clear waters, wildlife and so much more.
My son particularly loved the cliff jumping.
The wetsuits kept us warm ish.
I loved thus adventure and would go again.

Great trip Sam and the lads had a good route and the jumps were fantastic. Clean wetsuits and boots provided easy to get too

We had a great tour in March 2024. The wet suits were nice to protect us from freezing. Moreover, nature in this area is really beautiful - we saw lizards, frogs and many turtles. This kind of activity provides a completely new opportunity to explore nature.
The tour itself had many facets (such as swimming, water walking and sliding) and all jumps were voluntary - the guides made us feel really secure.
One guide took pictures and gave us access soon after the tour (thanks again).
I can suggest, that you don't bring any valuable things or -if you do- don't store them visibly in your car.
We hid them and it was all fine.

Even though it was a kind of difficult parkour, it was amusing! The only thing we agreed on as a group was that the shoes were not in good condition; some were already broken or torn. Moreover, most of the shoes available were so thin literally like socks, and didn't have ankle protection; walking on stones with them was not easy. Apart from that, everything was great! Especially, our guide Martin was really professional and helpful!

Due to the recent extreme temperatures and droughts we were not sure what to expect from a river walk. However, there was enough water to not only swim, but also do incredible jumps between the gorges. Our guide Martin was very helpful, inspiring, funny a toured us well. At some points it would be nice to have few more seconds to look around and explore more of the surroundings of the river. Next time we would probably chose the afternoon session. Overall adventurous and enjoyed activity!

This is a very fun activity to do if you love to hike. It's not a difficult route but challenging in a fun way. The jumps from the rocks are optional but very fun to do. Our tourguide was a very fun guy who was interested in the people and had a lot of interaction with us.
I highly recommend this agency!!
