Discover two ethnic and delicious NYC neighborhoods, Chinatown and Little Italy on this three-hour food and walking tour. You will begin your tour in Chinatown at a popular tea house, enjoying a cup of tea with a classic Chinese pastry.  As you explore Chinatown you will see the vibrant colors of this neighborhood, hear the Chinese language and feel immersed. The highlight of your visit to Chinatown is a traditional meal, seated in a fun and vibrant restaurant. In addition to all the food, your guide will lead you on a historical path of Chinatown revealing hidden secrets as you discover its historical landmarks. During this portion of the tour, you will be fascinated with stories of the past and Chinatown's beautiful culture.  Lastly—before making your way over to Little Italy you will savor a famous Beijing style dumpling.

The second portion of the tour takes place in Little Italy. Once you enter Little Italy, you will see the bright décor and buzzing excitement. You will soon learn about Little Italy’s fascinating past by visiting historical landmarks and hearing colorful stories.  From there your guide will lead you to explore the mom and pop specialty shops of Little Italy, samplings include fresh mozzarella with prosciutto, imported cheeses and olives and fresh pasta. Before saying arrivederci, your guide will take you to the well-known and historic pasticceria, Ferrara's Bakery and Café. This is where your guide will provide you with an in-depth description of the Italian American immigrants while you enjoy Ferrara's ever famous cannoli.

The final destination is in close proximity to Chinatown allowing you to continue to explore both neighborhoods on your own and retrace your steps. Each participant is provided a helpful handout at the beginning of the tour which includes a list of all the tastings, a map, a recommendation list and coupons. The handout will be helpful, post tour, as you return to pick up your delicious tour mementos!

Elizabeth was informative and kind. The variety of food and experience was good. The quantity and quality was not what I expected for the high cost of the tour. Overall though a pleasant experience.

Liz is a total gem and her love for teaching as a tour guide shows through. We really had a wonderful time. It was my husband and I, my mother in law and her husband. We enjoyed the different foods and the history that surrounds them. If anything could have made it better would be more sit down eating. Eating food on the go or on a street corner kind of took away from the experience.

What a fun and delicious afternoon! Our guide Patrick was engaging, knowledgeable and passionate about the food and cultures of the neighborhoods of Chinatown and Little Italy. The history, stories of local lore and friendly companionship of the group were matched by the incredible food choices we were provided. Thanks Patrick for an incredible tour.

Great time with Liz and our fellow travelers! Liz was informative about the history of the neighborhoods and the origins of the foods we sampled. The “tastes” were more than enough for a complete meal!

A disappointing experience at best. Would not recommend this Food Tour company. The published information on the tour states the group will consist of no more than 12 to 13 people. Imagine our surprise when we arrive for the start of the tour and are informed at that time our group was booked at 17 people plus the guide. A group this size was more of a nuisance to the majority of the establishments we visited on the tour, several where we did not even enter the establishment, where we waited outside for the guide to pick up our tastings, and then disperse it to us on the sidewalk in the rain. Two of the tasting stops directed us to exit and wait outside due to the size of the group. The tour guide was knowledgeable, and apologized a few times for the group being so large. We’ve participated in several walking food tours and we would not recommend this one based on our experience.
