Stop At: Hardangervegen, Trengereid, Norway
Hardangervegen or the Hardanger Road is Norwegian route #7. This road is a tourist attraction in itself. We will see beautiful sights along the way: mountains, lakes and waterfalls. On the way to the Hardangerfjord we will make two photo stops at 2 waterfalls: Fossen Bratte and Steinsdalsfossen.
Duration: 1 minute
Stop At: Fossen bratte, Samnanger kommune, Norway
We make a stop at Fossen Bratte waterfall - 259 feet (79 meters) tall. The view is great and you can take some memorable pictures here. A short walking tour to the bottom of the waterfall is highly recommended - you simply must feel the roaring freshness and gentle and pure water drops on your face.

We pass through a small town of Norheimsund - the local municipal administration center on our way to the Hardangerfjord. This is where we usually stop for lunch. There are several options. We recommend having lunch at the Sandven Hotel - a historical landmark from 1857.

The Hardangerfjord is the second longest fjord in Norway. We will be travelling along the fjord to Vangdal - a view point where we will make our next stop.
Duration: 1 minute
Stop At: Vangdal, Kvam, Norway
After leaving Norheimsund we come to Vangdal. We make a stop at the outlook over the fjord not only to enjoy the view, but also to visit two sights with stone carvings. There is some walking involved down and up moderately steep trails to see the petroglyphs from the Stone Age and the Bronze Age.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Hardanger Fjord, Hardanger Fjord, Hordaland, Western Norway
We continue our jourley along the fjord. Enjoy the views: natural beauty of the scenery with small quaint villages scattered along the coast. There are a lot of fruit farms on the Hardangerfjord. During summer we can stop at a couple of fruit stands and buy some fruits and berries (available in season).

We were a group of 7 and had a great time with Vlad from Jandis . His personal touch ( hot ginger tea, taste of local fruits, supermarket stopover etc) made us feel that we were traveling with family.
Thank you Vlad!

Vlad was very knowledgable and shared a lot of information with us. He also provided us with tea and ginger cookies which warmed us much as the weather was cold and rainy.

Our guide Vladislav was amazing! He pointed out so many sites and gave us interesting information as he drove us around many fjords, waterfalls, and made several stops for photo opportunities. He made sure we were comfortable and even gave us glogg and cookies! He went above and beyond when we asked to stop at Edvard Grieg's museum for a quick photo op. Thank you!
