The weather put a damper on our trip. We went for 9 days and only had 2 days good enough for the beach. I feel like going more south this time of year would be better. It was hard to find indoor activities. We went to the Navy museum in Pensacola and to see the USS Alabama, but they were about an hour away. We came to enjoy the beach but it was cold, cloudy and rained off and on. It was hard to find indoor activities close by. We went to alot of coffee shops, out to eat and to the model train museum in Foley. Probably wouldn't visit this area again unless it was summer. Would probably be good for families at that time of year.

The beach was really dirty and the water was even more so dirty that you couldn't even see water between the seaweed and it was definitely an adventure trying to find public beaches or what not but our hotel even though it wasn't on the beach which is where I would stay again if I went to Orange Beach was awesome about having a place to be able to walk on to the beach and have some space as well. I wouldn't be going back to Orange Beach for the beach but you know I guess all of that is just seasonal or different on a day-to-day basis but then we went to Gulf shores and there were so many jellyfish that you couldn't stand anywhere in the water so I don't know how people could utilize Gulf shores or Orange Beach as a vacation spot.
