Named after the flower, Rose Island is a beautiful 7-mile long island located three miles due east of Paradise Island which offers pristine white sand beaches surrounded by numerous populated live coral reefs. Overlooking Sandy Cay, or better known as Gilligan’s Island, numerous commercials and movies were filmed here including 1965’s James Bond “Thunderball” which they filmed the crash landing of a Vulcan Bomber.

Booking and communication was easy and excellent. Travel to their location was quick as they are close to the cruise ship dock. We did this as a cruise ship excursion (not through the cruise line). We went with Captain Justin, who was fantastic. We cooked our catch at the Poop Deck Restaurant right at the dock where they are located. That was also excellent.

Captain Justin was friendly, professional and made us feel safe. We had such a great time! Justin kept us informed of the itinerary throughout the trip, why we would go here or there to fish, which we appreciated. We caught a lot of fish and even had our fish fried up at the restaurant by the dock so we could eat it, which was so amazing. We were very pleased with our experience!

Great communication to confirm charter. Clean boat with professional staff. Captain Justin was engaging, energetic, and fun to spend the day with on the boat. Memorable day for our family and would highly recommend!!!

Booking was easy and simple. Multiple times, dates and different boats available.
Justin was super professional and knowledgeable. His is a nice friendly family man. He spent down time explaining and teaching my Sons everything fishing 🎣
We booked the 4 hour excursion with the 27ft Dream Life trip, trolling deep sea caught two barracudas and 1 mahi mahi.
Distilled and sparkling water were provided and the boat come equipped with a restroom.
After the trip was done Justin showed us how to filet the fish, we then took the fish to the Poop Deck, where they prepared it for us.
While filetting the fish two tarpons and two bull sharks came out from under the dock eating the scraps.

Captain Justin was so friendly and we had a great time on his boat. My husband and I had our 7-yr old with us, and because we had to wake him up so early, he was extremely cranky. Captain Justin was so patient with us all, and he knew all the good spots to take us, even when we weren’t sure what to do. We did some snorkeling, did a little fishing and went to a crystal clear beach. I couldn’t recommend this experience enough. Thanks Captain Justin for showing us a great time!

Captain Justin was awesome! He was so great and made our experience personalized to our family. We did some fishing and snorkeling. Caught our lunch and had it prepared at the Poop Deck. Best trip! Would go again.

Had an amazing day with Captain Justin and Johnathan and caught a huge variety of fish. They both kept the day fun, yet provided some great lessons throughout as we were novice fishermen. Afterwards they cleaned a few of the fish and we went to a restaurant next door where our catch was prepared for lunch which was another great experience. I would highly recommend this excursion as it was the highlight of our entire cruise. Thanks again guys!

Justin was the best. He worked all four lines trying to get us a Tuna for our birthday. We loved our experience. We did catch some Strawberry Groupers, took them to the Poop Deck and cooked them for our lunch. We highly recommend this trip and hopefully you will get Justin.

Reading the reviews ahead of time for Reel Dreams and Captain Justin we found the experience to be legit!
Our family of 5 had a wonderful time with Justin and Jordan on our 4 hour trip. Slow day fishing but still were able to catch a Tuna and Barracuda. Native to the Bahamas, Justin knew the locations for a true ocean fishing experience and did not disappoint.
Thank you Justin, Jordan and Reel Dreams for a great day of fishing and wonderful experience/memories for our family.
Definitely would recommend Reel Dreams Fishing Charter.
As a side note, our family had a mix of fishing and non fishing guests. We had one person in our family experience motion sickness and was not a pleasant day for her. Come prepared to be on the ocean in large waves. Recommend taking dramamine ahead of time or staying behind if uncomfortable with ups and downs/large waves.
Lastly, Poop Deck restaurant directly in front of the boat docks will cook any fresh catch/fish for a very enjoyable post fishing charter meal/lunch/dinner. 😊
