Our favourite day in Mexico! Snorkelling with the turtles, stingrays and fish was amazing! The staff, Selene, Freckles etc all made our experience worthwhile!

I'm not saying DON'T go, I am saying, if there are other options for sailing and snorkeling available to you in the region, choose whatever that option is. This tour is a last resort. I will start by saying that I am a very laid-back person. From Philadelphia originally, I understand what it's like to live in an area without a great reputation to the outside world. When you read about Tulum/the Mayan Riviera, there will--of course--be people who are not used to interacting with other cultures and do not have any humility towards the people that live there. To the best of my ability, I am not one of those people. I typically won't leave a bad review about bugs in an air bnb in the tropics or being "inconvenienced" by haggling with people trying to feed their families, so I hope that this goes to show you how much I don't ever write reviews like this... To start, we actually made a few friends with people a few days before on a separate, Tulum-area tour, who happened to be on the same group excursion as us on the catamaran. In addition to us, there were a LOT of people on the tour, yes, but I don't mind because I assumed that the cost of operating a vessel like this with a whole staff and crew was costly, so I didn't think anything of sharing the large catamaran with the 50+ people. When we eventually arrived to our hang-out spot for snorkeling, the sites were absolutely gorgeous. We went on a 30-minute snorkeling route that took us over reefs and we even saw a turtle! However, the number of us who opted in for snorkeling included maybe 20+ and we were all kind of on top of each other. At one point another guest almost pulled down my top because of her paddling and being so close. Up to this point, nothing was going to elicit a negative review, because I've been on enough tours to understand when things are crowded and when you share spaces with a bunch of people who may or may not be as considerate as you are with their bodies, voices, and interactions. When we arrived back at the boat for the second half (drinking and lunch!) I overheard the main guide, a French man with "Etienne" tattooed on his calf and another staff member discussing the bottom of a guest in Spanish. She had gotten back on the boat immediately ahead of me and was wearing a thong-like bottom, and I don't think the guide or the other staff member anticipated me to understand what the head gesture and subsequent words meant because of being a gringa, but I absolutely knew what they were talking about. Another absolute is how much I hate having my body commented on as a woman when I am just trying to enjoy leisiurely activities with my family on a memorable vacation, but I digress. Even then, I thought to myself "that was kinda weird but whatever we're having good vibes and in Mexico let's just enjoy it!" I go back to sit with our new friends who we had met on the tour the day before (big ups to MexiKan tours! Cesar is the man!!!) and enjoyed the opportunity to be open to the moment and get to know new strangers who were quickly becoming friends. A few rounds go by and a certain staff member comes by and asks for my drink choice. I say "cerveza" to be easy, juts as I often order a black coffee to be easy at coffee shops. Nothing. The member comes by and asks again and I say "una cerveza, gracias!". He comes back with a stack of shots for the instagram hotties on the boat and I watch him as he does so. I mention to the company we've become friends with, who quickly also confirm that they saw me ask for a beer at a few points now. I don't at all mind getting a drink for myself, and I hope I have demonstrated that I am not that type of person in the least, and I generally try to be helpful to everyone I encounter in my life. The frustrating part was being ASKED what I wanted, answering, them confirming the answer, then disappearing and getting drinks for others. I have no problem getting my own drink, just don't ASK me so that I am waiting around to receive it. I coulda gotten it twenty minutes ago, bro. To make things even worse, when the "photographer" came around and asked each person if they'd like to spend $60+ bucks on the photos she took, or 30+ on a SINGLE photo of you, I earnestly tried to look through them. At first, she had mistaken one of my new friends as my "husband" and said "I have photos of you and your husband together to look at" and we were kind of giggling because this friend and his partner as well as my partner had stayed on the boat for the snorkeling, while this new friend and I had gotten into the people-laden waters. We were particularly giggling because he was a gay man and we were delighted at the thought someone would mistake us as being together. Because of the bumpiness of the waves, I accidentally exited out of the photo viewer the photographer had presented to us, to which she QUICKLY reacted with a scolding about how I was holding her up in terms of having the bajillion other guests look at their photos for purchase. I took the ipad back and accidentally exited out (because of the waves and literally zero direction she gave me to navigate the image viewer on the app) and I just handed the ipad right back to her without purchasing because even if I liked the photos why would I pay someone to treat me like that. She's lucky I didn't chuck that ipad into the Carribean. "Sorry babe!" TO REITERATE, the friends we had on this tour also confirmed that she snapped at me, that this man kept forgetting my drinks, and were not at all surprised about the weird conversation that occurred because of a guerrida's culo. So bear with me. At this point, just as it is difficult for me to write a bad review about a company, it is also insanely difficult to not leave a tip, even if the service is bad. My partner had graciously taken my bag and stepped off the boat while I was at the back of the line, and I thought to myself "do I actually want to leave a tip?" We huddled up with our friends, rode back to the Super Aki in Tulum and parted ways. However, while we were on the van back to Tulum, my partner mentioned the pesos he had offered at the end of the tour, and he was met with a snide comment behind his back as he walked away saying "that's it??" My partner said he saw few, if any, of the other guests leave a tip in the sombrero. Honestly, I never want to leave a bad review or a bad tip, but of course it happens. This, though, may be the first time I have ever wished we didn't tip at all. I would even take it back if I could because of how disrespected I feel. So.. of course the view is amazing, the snorkeling is amazing... it's Tulum. But I stand very firmly by my suggestion that if you can find another company to have the same experience, please do so.

Man this was one of the best boating experiences I have been on. The crew are hilarious and downright a great time, the food was the right balance of light and delicious so that you can maximize your water time and by the time I got off I was completely faded. 10/10 it’s a must do!

We didn’t get to go on the boat. We originally booked this particular one because they offered hotel pick up and drop off. We received a message a couple days before saying we would have to take a taxi to and from the location, which would have added an additional $100. When I messaged them referencing the pick up/drop off verbiage online, they were extremely rude and canceled our booking so we never got to go. A little bit later, a different person from the company messaged us apologizing for the rude colleague and offered to pay for our taxi. He kept saying he would touch base with me “tomorrow” but I kept not hearing from him and I kept having to follow up for over a week. He eventually wanted me to download this weird link instead of paying through trip advisor like we had before. When I asked why, he told me I was being too difficult and canceled our booking yet again. I looked at the reviews and it looks like this has happened to multiple people, with the owner responding in a very rude manner trying to make excuses. We ended up booking with another catamaran out of Puerto Aventuras that was much better! Way better food selection too.

My friend and I had a great time! I can't remember our hosts name but he was tatted up with a clean ball head. He and the crew was so amazing well worth it. He did the guided swim with the fishes and stingrays. You don't have to swim if you don't want too. You can stay and relax on the boat and enjoy the unlimited drinks i.e. alcohol, beer, soda, and water. The lunch was very light but delicious. The lunch is not unlimited so eat beforehand. Our pickup and drop off was great as well. Book with them and make sure to tip the crew! They work hard.

We had an amazing day on the water. We were picked up promptly in style. When we got to the port staff awaited us and we were seated near a cafe excellente! We got on a beautiful catamaran and the ride out was so scenic and the staff loved us ! The snorkelers seen a stingray and plenty of fish while we hung back on the boat and got on water float…. So refreshing. They took the most beautiful photo of us in the middle of the ocean. The drinks were great and the food was refreshing. They made sure we kept refreshments and anything we needed they were ready. I already had other friends book this excursion in May and another in August. Do it the whole family will love it, the adventurer, the relaxer and the kids.

I had a great day as a solo traveler with Cancun Adventures via Viator. Pickup from the supermarket in Tulum was easy, I was the only guest from Tulum Pueblo so we went straight to Puerto Aventuras. Once you arrive and get your wristband you have time to walk around/use the bathroom/get a “free” beer or tequila tasting from the souvenir shop. We had to wait about 30 minutes for the rest of our group to arrive, which stressed some of the guests out — the waiting area was pretty warm — but once we were all assembled we headed out to the boat. I was nervous because I read a review from someone that there were 100 people on her boat, but mine had about 25, which was as promised. The boat was large so you can spread out and after a quick safety briefing we were headed out. There was music and non alcoholic drinks on the way out. Then we headed in to snorkel. Equipment was good quality and floatation waist bands were included. The snorkeling was fun! We went with the guide and saw stingrays and many tropical fish. No turtles this time, but I’m sure they’re out there. If you don’t want to snorkel you can stay on board and start drinks and lunch early. Otherwise we came back, had time for lunch, drinks, and swimming, and then drinks and music the whole way home — a great party. It was a really fun time out on the water. The only downside was getting connected to my ride home. If you’re going with a large group or to one of the big resorts it was fairly easy, the vans were waiting for you. But since I was traveling solo I couldn’t figure out where to go and which van to get in and the drivers didn’t have much info. At one point it was just me and another group standing there and all the vans had left. The front desk staff were busy checking in the next tour group and couldn’t help. Finally a van did come and get us after I wrangled someone into calling the front office. But it would be super helpful to have a staff member with the vans who could direct people coming off the boat and check to make sure everyone gets picked up.

My fiancée & I really enjoyed the sailing. We did think it was adults only & a small group but we were on a large catamaran with over 100 people. I did paddle boarding for the first time & loved it! The food & drinks were great. The only thing I did not appreciate was the racist captain. He allowed another guest to drive the boat for a little while but not my fiancée & he had no good reason as to why. She asked twice & he was just rude & nasty towards us. We did not tip because of him!
