A truly educational experience about the environmental effects of political and structural changes in the area, and the efforts to diminish and reverse the impact on the reefs and beaches. Really enjoyed learning from Irene, Archie, and Nafsha, as well as having some local snacks with them.

I’m so happy to join such a meaningful Eco Tour to Villimale. I heard the detailed explanation from the founder of the NGO “Save The Beaches Maldives” what they have been doing to save the beaches and ocean of Maldives. We walked around Villimale and learned how the place changed. I also learned how they conserve the corals and educate people to protect the environment. Together with the guide of Secrete Paradise Shark, we had a tea time, enjoyed some local Maldivian snacks and talk of exchanging each other’s cultures. What a wonderful experience! I will come back to Maldives and hope to see you guys again!

A big shout out to Shark, Irene, and Ruth. They made this Eco-Tour to Villimale was truly an insightful and eye-opening experience. Shark, our tour leader was informed, hilarious, and full of personality as a local Maldivian who guided us excellently by picking us up right from the hotel with an umbrella and walked us to the ferry. We met Irene, an active marine biologist and passionate about saving the beach. She is full of knowledge and passion and doesn’t sell you on gimmicks but knowledge about saving the beaches. We left encouraged and well-informed about the island, eating some local treats, and learning about our footprint as humans. Ruth was a game-changer, since the weather conditions weren’t favorable, she quickly responded for other tour options, was flexible, and attentive to our short stay in Male. I can’t commend this dream team enough and you’ll be pleasantly surprised by their service and passion to the Maldives!

What a trip that was, 25 days in PARADISE AND I could not say my trip in the Maldives would have ever been the same if it wasn’t for Ruth and her amazing team at Secret Paradise. I was travelling with two friends and we had so many doubts about what to do and what not to do. We were travelling from different places. Brazil and London.. With covid the islands are working around a very different dynamic and their tailored packages fit our demands and budget perfectly. We have done both resort and local islands and I can’t wait to be back. The walking tours are amazing and I learned so much about the culture, language and Maldivian community with the local guides. I cannot recommend them enough we all had a great hassle-free trip thanks to them!
