Stop At: Zhujiajiao Ancient Town, No.36 Meizhou Road, Qingpu District Zhujiajiao Town, Shanghai 201713 China
Meet up your friendly private guide at your hotel lobby in the morning or afternoon based on your preferred schedule. Transferred by comfortable vehicle to Zhujiajiao, a water town on the outskirts of Shanghai, and was established about 1,700 years ago.
Upon arrival, stroll along the old street and traditional market where you will find many interesting vendors and local specialties. You will also find the best known bridges, built during Ming and Qing Dynasties. Take a relaxing boat ride in the water canals, and your friendly private guide will share with you the history and story of the area.
After the tour, your guide will send you back to the hotel in Shanghai city.

Ask for Xin! Xin was prompt, very warm and welcoming, anticipated our needs, adjusted on the fly, and shared a deep knowledge about life in Shanghai, the historic area, and the region at large. She took excellent care of us and went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable. She’s the best!
Private tours are always the way to go, the driver was very professional and prompt, and the car was above expectations with bottled water.

We went on this tour and really enjoyed it. Our tour guide, Chloe, from start to finish was excellent. She was very personable, professional, and knowledgeable. The water town is a unique little town that is worth a visit when in Shanghai. The food, culture, and boat ride along the river were great. Highly recommend this tour.

We enjoyed our tour very much, our tour guide Calvin was very professional and knowledgeable, super nice person 😁 Our driver 佳佳 is very lovely too. We love 课植园 very much and enjoyed watertown. Sampled many local treats and local lunch was so delicious 😋 Thank you all very much for providing this lovely tour😁

It was a great experience out of the city. The private car transfer was very comfortable. Our guide Blair made the experience so enjoyable. She was very knowledgeable about the history and fun to tour around with. Thanks so much Blair we had a wonderful day and hope to see you in Sydney soon!

We were contacted right away regarding our pickup time. Alana was super helpful with rescheduling our trip since it was raining the day of our trip. We were picked up by Blair as our guide and her driver in a nice car. They took us to our destination and on the way Blair was super nice and knowledgeable about everything there is to know about China and our destination. We had an amazing conversation with her on the way.
When arrived to our destination we were given an extremely nice tour and Blair gave us the most incredible tour of the ancient water town of Zhujiajiao. Honestly I didn’t expect this level of professionalism and knowledge. Not to mention she(Blair) spoke perfect English.
10/10 definitely try this tour. (Specially ask for Blair if she is available)

We had a wonderful experience overall and would highly recommend this tour to anyone who visits Shanghai. Alana was extremely helpful and accommodating in getting things set up logistically.
Our tour guide Caroline as well as our driver were very personable and friendly. Caroline had a ton of knowledge about the history and culture of Zhujiajiao and Shanghai in general — my partner and I learned a ton and find this to be one of the highlights of the experience. Overall we couldn’t have asked for a better tour experience.
