Itinerary
The trip will start with 1-2 hours fishing. Fisherman Dimitris will pick you up at your preferred pick up point and bring you to the best spot to do some fishing. This will depend mostly on the weather and the season so that he can guarantee you the best catch. So for example You will help him get out the long lines or fishing nets he has thrown in a few hours before the trip. Then he will show you other fishing techniques like trolling or hand lines and fishing rods.
After that he will take you to a remote beach where you can enjoy swimming ♂️ and snorkeling while he will be cooking lunch for you (usually fish soup or fried fish) served with a cool salad and refreshing fruit for dessert. After eating lunch at the beach he will bring you back to your pick up point. Lunch and drinks are included in the price.

My wife and I had a great time fishing with Dimitris. Kathrin was easy to book with and they worked us into their schedule on short notice. Dimitris shifted the trip timing a bit to get better weather on a windy day. Pulling up the long lines was exciting - we even got an eel. And then we capped it off with fishing on a gorgeous beach while Dimitris made dinner. Dimitris is right- he's a really good cook. The stew - which included our eel along with fresh mussels and shrimp - tasted so fresh and the Greek salad complemented it nicely. It was a perfect way to spend the day on Hydra. I highly recommend it!

This is not only a fishing trip but a chance to immerse yourself into Greek culture. The long lines were fun to watch and kept my children entertained. The snorkeling and food were icing on the cake. We can’t thank hydra fishing enough for a wonderful time. I

First, I am sorry that this review is so very delayed. Second, I don't quite have the words to adequately express how absolutely wonderful our excursion with Dimitris was. It was the highlight of our Greek holiday and I have such wonderful memories that will stay with me forever.
The trip was so easy to book through Kathrin, who was so lovely to communicate with.
The outing gave us a perspective of Idra we wouldn't have otherwise experienced. My second favorite part was learning from Dimitris about the local fish species. My first favorite part was dining on the deliciously prepared fresh catches that Dimitris prepared for us. I still think about that meal!
My photos could not possibly relay how special this experience was!

We had a beautiful day on the water with Captain Dimitri and an incredible meal from the catch, this was a highlight of our trip to Greece and I highly recommend it!!

We love fishing at home and we made a special trip to Hydra to try fishing in Greece. What a blast! Captain / Chef Dimitris is an expert at giving his guests a great experience. He shared his fishing knowledge and prepared a most delicious on-board meal…more than we could finish. The sights, the instant friendship and fun made this a most memorable time for our trip to Greece.

I have to say I woke up sick the morning I was supposed to go out fishing. I contacted Kathrin and asked if I could reschedule for the next day. She and Dimitris were so easy to work with.
Our fishing trip was a blast. We caught fish. While we fished and swam, Dimitris prepared lunch. He set a table for us and he served wine with the meal. Not only is he a good captain, he is a wonderful chef and host.
If you are looking for an authentic experience with a local, who owns a classic wooden ship, this is your tour.

It was such an amazing trip although it was a last minute booking. Dimitris is such a friendly cheerful person who wants to give an unforgettable experience. Enjoyed the fishing, loved the food. Will sure do it again

My family had a great time. It was a once in a lifetime experience for my boys to attempt to fish, see Dimitri pull in the net filled with the days bounty, and take a swim off the boat. The meal prepared onboard with the day’s catch was simple and delicious. Great for experience and friendly operators.

My daughter and I really loved this trip. We went out and checked a fishing net, then trolled for a while and ended up in a harbor where we swim and lounged around while Dimitri cooked one of the best seafood meals I’ve ever had. we got back in time to do things in the afternoon, it was a perfect adventure.
