Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Pua'a Ka'a State Park, Hana Highway, Maui, HI

Puaʻa Kaʻa State Wayside Park is a state park on the island of Maui, Hawaiʻi. It is located along the Hana Highway approximately 39 mi east of Kahului. The area consists of 5 acres of rainforest with waterfalls and pools. The park is at an elevation of 1,200 ft and roughly 0.5 mi away from Waiohue Bay.
Deep in the rainforest this beautiful waterfall beckons you to take a dip, so bring an extra set of clothes and "Reef Walker" type shoes to wade in and walk out safely. Walking up to the waterfall and small pathways brings you throughout this stop with bathrooms and sitting areas, this is a very popular location. This is the turnaround location for this tour. If there is room, we can stop for lunch that we purchase prior to arriving. A must see and do if the water quality allows. Remember, this is a subtropical rainforest and a large rainfall deep in the forest can bring a surge of muddy water at any time so we help you choose out of two locations to take a dip. Rain or shine, its great!

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Ke'anae Arboretum, Hana Hwy., mile marker 17, Ke'anae, Maui, HI 96708

This stop involves walking through a subtropical rainforest and seeing everything that can grow on a small trail into the forest. Many professional photography opportunities. You also should bring shoes to get muddy as it rains often.

Duration: 20 minutes

Pass By: Paia, HI 96779, USA

This quaint little town you can see the turn of the century type of construction from the old plantation days. If you do stop in this town we suggest that you spend two hours on another day. World renowned for the best surfing waves just beyond it.

Pass By: Haipua'ena Falls, Hana Highway, Maui, HI

One of my favorite waterfalls if we can stop and get into them. This waterfall is restricted to seeing it from only the bridge, according to the owner of the property. This is a perfect example of an amazing waterfall with private access. There are other waterfalls on this road that have public Access.

Stop At: Kaumahina State Wayside Park, Hana Hwy, Haiku, Maui, HI

You can park and have a bathroom break and an amazing view of the valley below. Favorite for photography and for huge expanse of ocean Coastline.

Duration: 10 minutes

Stop At: Wailua Valley State Wayside Park, 14560 Hana Hwy, Kula, Maui, HI 96708

A small staircase brings you to view the whole valley below and the valley behind you. You'll think that you're in Jurassic Park territory. It's a larger than Life view. A must stop with a little bit of parking available from the state.

Duration: 10 minutes

Pass By: Upper Waikani Falls, Hana Highway, Maui, HI

Depending on the weather the day earlier this falls flows with amazing fresh water from the upper valleys as we passed by.

Stop At: Ke‘anae Point, Maui, HI

This amazing location is where the first Hawaiians found water on Maui. Taro fields and an 1800's church that are on display as we drive to the point where amazing pictures of waves crashing into black lava flows into the ocean. We're in good shoes while walking on the sharp rocks is advisable you can also stroll to a restroom stop and view the area.

Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: Honomanu, Hana Highway, Hana, Maui, HI 96713

Small, secluded black-pebble beach with waves for surfing & views of the surrounding green hills. This is off the road and requires an SUV. Our Lincoln navigator is perfect for this.

Duration: 10 minutes

Stop At: Halfway to Hana, road to Hana, Hana, Maui, HI

This is a possible lunch stop and it's the name of the Cafe. We go past this location for about 30 minutes. Great cheeseburgers, fantastic hot dogs, pig and other sandwiches. Smoothies, Banana Bread and more, yummm

Duration: 25 minutes

Though we experienced liquid sunshine numerous times, Summer made our tour fun and fact filled. Totally enjoyed seeing the green sea turtles.

Shaun is an excellent driver and an excellent tour guide! We stopped at so many interesting places including a black sand beach that also had crashing surf, lots of waterfalls, a very interesting arboretum that included Rainbow Eucalyptus trees, and beautiful Hookipa beach where we saw lots of sea turtles. A truly fabulous tour in a very comfortable vehicle with plenty of time at each stop along the way. The actual road to Hana requires a driver's undivided attention, so it was great to be passengers in the vehicle so we could enjoy the amazing scenery and allow our experienced driver to do all the driving. A fantastic tour and highly recommended.

We are so glad we chose this tour! Our driver and tour guide, Shaun, did such an excellent job. He was punctual, friendly, informative and so interesting. The road to Hana is best enjoyed as a passenger in a vehicle because the driver needs their full attention to the twisting road. Shaun is a very competent driver who is obviously very familiar with the road. He provided a very comfortable vehicle and plenty of stops for sightseeing. We enjoyed everything! The black sand beach, the countless waterfalls, the beautiful beaches, the fascinating arboretum and the sea turtles at Hookipa Beach on the way back. We are grateful to Shaun for his expertise as a driver and tour guide and we have no hesitation in enthusiastically recommending this fabulous tour!

We had booked with another operator that left without us. Sean stepped up and offered to take us. We ended up with a longer and I am sure better tour. Sean was a great driver on the winding roads. He was very knowledgeable and provided lots of information and stories. I have mobility issues, he was very helpful and when possible, such as driving onto the black sand beach, he would make sure I could see things. I would use this company in a heartbeat. Thanks Sean for a wonderful day.

The guide was a very scary driver going way too fast to the point many of us were sick to our stomachs. However, the sights and experiences were phenomenal! I recommend this tour as an ideal way to see the road to Hana. Just the right length of time and beautiful scenery.

Everything went smoothly. Our guide was very knowledgeable. The duration was just right. This is an excellent alternative to the shore excursions the cruise ships offer...and bonus, smaller group size.
