The trip was absolutely amazing, but what really made the trip memorable was Sophia’s guide. Loved her stories of Vienna, its wonderful history and her jokes along the way, really made that day trip one to remember! Amy and I would highly recommend the trip to others, and would love to attend another trip led by her in the future! Amy & Loc

Summary: We booked this tour to Hallstatt which also included the hotel pick up option. The tour stops at prime locations where you can enjoy the scenery and capture unforgettable moments with photos and videos. Our tour date was also blessed with fabulous weather and the absolute best tour guide, Sophia. Sophia was amazing! She delivered historical facts to the group throughout the tour and ensured that we made the most of our free time in Hallstatt. Thank you Sophia for making my mom's first trip to Europe a memorable one!! Full review: Our shuttle driver arrived at the hotel on time to pick us up and drop us off at the bus meeting point. From there, we boarded the bus and made our way to Hallstatt. The long drive from Vienna was broken up with stops along the way. The first stop was an hour or so from Vienna where you could get off, stretch your legs and grab a bite to eat. Once everyone was back on the bus. Following this stop we drove to Gmunden where we were able to get off the bus and bask in the views surrounding Schloss Ort. After this stop, we made our way to Hallstatt. The sun was shining with clear skies. After giving the group tips on the various activities available and where to take the best shots of the town, Sophia led the group to the Skywalk funicular. (Tip: make sure you bring enough cash for the day! Most of the shops and restaurants only accept cash and do not accept cards) After the Skywalk we toured the town to enjoy the breath taking views. We also stopped at St Michael's Chapel which is home to the charnel or none house. Lastly we stopped at the many shops up and down the road before grabbing a bite to eat at one of the restaurants by the lake. Once our free time was up we boarded the bus. We made one final stop at a restaurant to grab a bite to eat before making our way back to Vienna. I highly recommend this day trip if you happen to be in Vienna and can make the time. It's truly worth it!

Fantastic day, very well organised and our host, Dasha, was very good - lots of stories and history on the way to Hallstatt. Beautiful stop at Schloss Castle and Hallstatt is stunning, well worth visiting. A little wait for the funicular but worth it as the views are amazing. Take cash for the café as its a higher minimum payment to use a card. Skywalk was busy with people queuing to have photos taken at the end, but you can still slip along the side for photos if you don't want to queue, and the view along the bridge from the funicular is just as good. Timings worked out well, quite a long drive back but time was given for a stop which was good. A highlight of our trip to Vienna.

The tour was very good, but very long. Our tour guide, Sophia, was very sweet and gave us interesting information about Vienna on our bus tour. The weather was beautiful and the sky was sunny and clear! My advice to you would be to have coins on hand, especially 50 cent pieces as the toilets are not free to use except at the skywalk going up and coming down. Hallstatt was amazing and well worth the long bus ride. I recommend the trip but make sure to wear very comfortable shoes!

Sofia was a great Tour guide, Rather soft spoken and at times difficult to understand on the microphone, But none the less she was a great Guide. She even gave me 50 cents to get into a rest room after I realized that most Austrian Rest Rooms require 50 cents to get into. I learned the hard way. The sites were magnificent in Hallstatt, And as Sofia promised we were back before 9:00pm.

Even through the long day commuting on the bus, we had our super tour guide Dasha who explained to us pleinty of things about Vienna as well as the history of the Hallstatt area. On the way to Hallstatt, we were able to visit the pretty Schloss Ort castle. Hallstatt was, of course, beautiful and the skywalk was breathtaking. We got also lucky because the weather was perfect. On the way back to Vienna, we got to watch a (old but gold) movie related to Austria. The daytrip ended with a little souvenir from Dasha and the 7 Travel company. I highly recommand this.

I waited in the wrong place (the wrong side of the state opera where another bus was) and while I accepted it was my error, I called the company to try and fix the issue and offered to go by train to join the group at Hallstadt at my own expense- and they did not help at all. The tour guide (Dania) hung up on me and did not show any sympathy for a paying customer in a foreign country who had got lost and was trying their best to fix things. She was rude, dismissive and unhelpful. In the end I wasted 130 euros as she didn’t bother giving me a meeting point on Hallstad and hung up rudely saying ‘I don’t have time for your stories’. So rude! She could have easily been polite and said ‘I’m working but call back in 10-15 mins and we can discuss a meeting point’. No - she told me not to call her and that was 130 euros down the drain. Sometimes on vacation, things go wrong, and it is the job of the tour company to help as much as reasonably possible. I would argue one phone call to arrange a meeting spot is reasonably possible but they did not care. The tour operator at the company was ok as he gave Dania’s number and said I could meet them on Hallstadt if I told the train - but Dania was a rude unhelpful *bleep*.
