This was a really fun and very interactive activity! My husband and I had a great time. Although it was pouring and we chose not to do the 75-minute Blue Boat Cruise, we still had a great time. We recommend it to anyone who enjoys Heineken!

Even if you don’t like beer this is an interesting tour into the history and processes! However well organised and a great atmosphere especially in the bar at the end of the tour! Well worth doing.
You then literally cross the road outside of Heineken and check in at the jetty for your river cruise all very straight forward. The lady who takes the pictures as you get onto the boat (they cost €3.90) were actually pretty good (you pick up at end of cruise as you leave) the audio commentary wasn’t amazing and doesn’t give you to much history but there was some interesting snippets! All in all a thoroughly good day and would recommend.

The tour was fine. Definitely geared to a young crowd with a party atmosphere. I really expected a more serious beer tasting and I would not recommend this tour if you are looking for that.

We went to Heineken at 2:30pm. We booked at this time by it seems to be a guide only. As they just let anyone with a booking in. It was a perfect time. Not too busy on the brewery, and allowed for us to easily buy tickets to the roof top and enjoy the view.
After 4pm, the que was huge!!!
The boat ride- conveniently across from the brewery. However, it should be noted that you need to take your Viatour ticket to the ticket office and exchange it for a booking slot. These book it quickly. So my advice would be is to do this before going into the brewery.

Heineken experience:
Too touristy, not an actual brewery tour. The canal boat ride was great, though.
