we will stop over at the great rift valley view point.
Originally named the ‘Great Rift Valley’ by British Explorer John Walter Gregory, the Rift Valley is a geographic stretch extending 6000km across the Middle East and Africa from Jordan to Mozambique. The valley encapsulates tremendous changes in topographic diversity with its scarps and volcanoes, lakes, ancient granitic hills, flat desert landscapes and coral reefs and islets. The astounding view, as you approach from Nairobi, Kenya is quite unbelievable. To show you just how expansive the rift is, the ground unexpectedly disappears from under you, extending thousands of kilometers in either direction. An excellent starter to the Kenyan Rift Valley, it may appear, the most amazing part of this experience is sinking deeper to explore the Lake System of the Rift.

A great day out. Cycling in the park was a real treat and unique. The boat ride was an added bonus opportunity. Isaac was a very good and companionable guide. I particularly appreciated his driving skills which made me feel safe.

An excellent experience traveling to Hell's Gate and Lake Naivasha while it was rainy and green! All of my guides (my driver, cycle guide at Hell's Gate, lake guide and Crescent Island guide) were fantastic and incredibly knowledgable and kind.

Stephen picked me up from the hotel on time. We had a great time at Hell's Gate biking, and I also recommend visiting Naivasha lake. Thanks a lot!

Cycling through the park was such a cool and unique experience! Our guides were great and we had an awesome time. The boat ride too was really fun and a good way to see hippos up close (although not too close!). Make sure you leave on time to get to the park early and avoid the heat (our driver was very punctual but we ran a bit behind ourselves), and lather up on sunscreen as you’ll be out in the sun for a while. Would def recommend doing!

This was an absolutely incredible experience— saw tons of animals including Zebras, Giraffe, Hippos, Wildabeast, etc. Isaac was the perfect tour guide; very polite, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Couldn’t recommend the day trip or Isaac’s services enough!
(Tiny note for consideration: the bike ride through Hell’s Gate is no joke so be prepared and bring water)

Amazing tour. Not very challenging on a bike, you get to ride through some amazing scenery and see animals like baboons, zebras, impalas, wild boars etc.

Great experience doing this bike ride. Make sure you are in shape to do this. It is about 16km (10 miles) with great scenery. You see some animals but not alot. A ton of zebras which was cool. The boat ride on Lake Navaisha is additional so make sure to bring cash. Awesome experience seeing the hippos, my favorite part was watching the eagles swoop down to get the fish.

This was one of the coolest experiences! Stephen picked me up at like 7am and we drove for 2 hours. He was such a great tour guide and had a ton of history about Kenya and Nairobi to share which was cool. We stopped at a viewpoint of the valley about an hour or so in. There was a little market there and you should definitely barter (I was so jet lagged that I wayyyy over paid) but had some cute things. Then we headed to the park. We saw so many animals on our drive in! We then got set up with bikes and met up with another tour group, so it was the 3 of us biking around. Definitely test out a bike that feels comfortable, you’ll be on it for over an hour. Our tour guide at the park was great. He was so informative and taught us so many things about the animals and the history of the landscape. Definitely wear sunscreen, you are in the direct sun for over an hour. After that we went to see the hippos. You do have to pay a couple hundred shillings so make sure you have cash. I didn’t and Stephen was amazing and found me an atm so I could grab some cash. The hippos were so cool and the boat ride was really fun. After that Stephen took me to a great place for lunch. It cost maybe a couple hundred shilling. We then drove back to Nairobi. We did hit horrible traffic so it took maybe closer to 3.5 hours to get back. I would recommend bringing snacks just because you won’t eat till like 2pm. But otherwise Stephen was amazing and this tour was so freaking cool. This was the first thing I did when I was in Kenya and being able to bike next to giraffes and zebras is something I can’t even put into words! Highly recommend this tour!
