We had the most incredible experience with our beautiful horse Penny & our lovely guide. Penny had a sassy personality that was adorable & when I asked our guide about the city's haunted history, she was able to tell us some fascinating ghost stories. The weather was perfect but even if it had rained, they were prepared & had a cover for the carriage. We had such a wonderful experience & this ended our visit in Canada perfectly.

Our cruise ship made only a short stop in Victoria so we booked (several months in advance) a carriage ride around downtown so as to see part of this beautiful city. There were 6 adults along for the carriage ride so we had to squeeze in close together. Our driver pointed out some interesting sights along the route, and we all enjoyed watching and listening to her interactions with the well-trained Clydesdale.

Our carriage driver was friendly, capable, and well informed about the history and geography of the area. We had a beautiful, leisurely and informative ride. Samson was eager to please his driver and we enjoyed the banter between horse and driver. The lap throws were a nice touch. All in all, just as advertised! I look forward to doing it again on my next trip to Victoria. Where can I apply for a job as a driver? (Just kidding!).

Route was dull, driver was not very knowledgeable nor would she take a picture of us. For the cost, they should provide a better tour.

Tally-Ho runs a fantastic operation staffed by friendly and sweet young ladies who are genuine “horse people” who really care for their horses. We started our tour at dusk, which provided spectacular views of the harbor as well as the Parliament building adorn with all its lights. Sophie, Maya, and Annie then toured us around the James Bay neighborhood giving us all sorts of fun stories that really allowed us to appreciate the area. Our horse, Annie often seemed a bit distracted, which only added to the fun on our tour. The entire time the ladies made us feel more like old friends than just patrons. The woman working the kiosk where we first inquired was equally as nice although I now have forgotten her name. We really enjoyed our carriage tour and felt that it really added to the fun of our vacation. We have decided that the next time we are in town we will tour with Tally-Ho again.
