Itinerary
Åselidalen is a beautiful valley carved out by glaciers some hundreds of thousands of years ago. Crystal clear mountain lakes and waterfalls surrounded by peaks is what you’ll find today. Starting from Bodø, the valley is a perfect place for a moderate hiking day trip in Northern Norway.
The Hidden Valley: The Børvasstindane mountain range contains the signature mountains of Bodø. Åselidalen – “The Hidden Valley” – cuts into the mountains between the mountain ridges Åselitindan and Falkflågtindan.
Peaks: The valley is surrounded by jagged peaks, all over 1,000 metres above sea level. Two of them, PerKalsa and Børtind, are favourites among the locals heading for a steep day hike.

We took the Hidden Valley Tour and had a wonderful time with Ivar as our guide. He was happy to tell us about the area, answer questions, and come with suggestions for other places to visit. We had a great time! The valley is absolutely stunning and well-worth a visit. We felt the description of the difficulty level of the tour was very accurate: some moderate fitness and mobility required, but to us, no previous experience with challenging hikes seemed required, so good for "beginners" too. Definitely recommend this tour!

We booked two day trips with Ivar as a family. Ivar was very considered and flexible. He gauged our seven member family strengths and customized the hike trails and canoeing accordingly. Ivar is very knowledgeable and really enjoys the outdoors and his job. We spend 7 days in Iceland and Norway and by far the two days with Ivar were the best by all accounts.

Super.
Merci Ivar
