Very easy with the steps they give you. Fiddly but fun! You can customise your lantern and make it your own. Definitely a class you must do when in Hoi An. If you’re worried about the size, they fold down and put them into a bag for you. Free goodie at the end too. Thank you 😊

Great family activity for all ages. My daughters (9 and 13) did the full lantern making course. It took 2 hours to make the lanterns from scratch but full guidance was given at each step and staff on hand to assist. Really friendly, fun, relaxed environment learning something new. Would definitely recommend.

What a fun way to spend a couple of hours in Hoi An!
I wasn't sure at first because I'm not an arts and crafts person. But boy did I enjoy this session.
It was easy to follow, fun and interesting to make your own lantern.
You get to choose the fabrics too and the staff help you along the way whilst offering very clear instructions. Basically whenever you mess up the process, they'll help save the day and fix your mistakes! Phew!
The thing that made this outing most fun were the staff members. They're super friendly and vibrant and communicated really well in English to accommodate all the guests.
Our main host was Hui (I hope I spelt that correctly). He was fantastic. But all staff members also rotate round and help out. The others (sorry I didn't get their names), were all super nice and a couple of them were hilarious and brought great vibes!
It literally made me want to make more lanterns and stay for longer if I could.
What a fun activity. Would highly recommend!
I tried to sell them my handmade lantern for 500dong (they sell professionally made ones for 100). Oddly they wouldn't buy my amateur piece from me. Oh well, I tried to bargain. Guess I'll have to practice more..Hahhahaha :)
Thank you guys for a great morning!
Keep up the fantastic work!

This family run business used to just make lanterns for sale but have now expanded into teaching how. Such fun from great teachers and the product folds easily into a cellophane tube for taking home. A MUST DO in Hoi An.

This is a great family-run class. You can tell they are very knowledgeable about lantern-making and give you some history before diving into the class. They provide you with enough guidance to make your own lantern but will also help you along the way to make sure your lantern looks great.
The lantern itself folds down and they give you some packaging to make it easier for you to be able to pack.

Great activity to do in the afternoon avoiding the sun and heat. They guide you along the way and help fix after each step so you have a great product to take home.

Great class with fun instructors, would recommend to everyone that visit Hoi An. We did the full class which takes a bit longer but it’s worth it.
