It was too crowded tough this is must visit when you are travelling to Hongkong. You will go through an adventurous cable car ride, a walk through ngong city and you will witness a great ambience of village like place. Than you will witness the great lord buddha. After climbing almost 400 stairs you will witness lord and feel so much of positivity.

Disgusting money grabbing service, told us the temple was shut but failed to mention the 3 hour long ques that was already in place the other end to get back down.
Traveled all of this east to HK from UK to see a parade that we missed trying to get down …
Would not recommend as even the pods were dirty so all the pictures were ruined

Bought the ticket through Klook, but all still need to exchange the voucher by manually queuing in the long line. Inefficient for someone who bought the ticket to make it more efficient.

The staffs are so rude, no smile as per hospitality person should do.
The most bad experience is while shopping in the Starbucks, the staff really dont have manner.

The cable car ride with crystal cabin is the best. The whole place is a must visit during your Hong Kong vacation

It’s a great attraction and the cable car is something else with amazing views. Great to see the big bhudda on the island as well as the monastery. Only down side for me was the queues. It was at least 2 hours and unfortunately for me it coincided with some Chinese holiday making it very very busy.

The content of the trip was superb, however the information provided by Viator was incorrect and I spent an hour at the airport looking to redeem my ticket from a non-existent travel desk. I ended up having to pay my own MTR fare even though it was included in the price of the trip. This I will address independently with Viator. The actual trip was fantastic headed up by a very knowledgeable tour guide, Becky, who conducted the trip in 3 different languages. Lovely lady! The glass floored cable car ride was thrilling and the views stunning. Tai O fishing village and the boat ride were good but felt we spent just a little too long there. The vegetarian lunch at the monastery proved there are 101 things you can do with tofu and was quite tasty! The highlight of the day was the 268 steps up to the statue of the Buddha. Stunning! In all a very good day worthy of 4 or 5 stars if Viator checked their tour write-up to ensure it was correct! Shame on you Viator!

The difference between crystal cabin and standard cabin is minimal. Better to take one way cabin and take the bus on the way down.
No queues for pregnant ladies. The staff would shamelessly ask them to buy more expensive tickets to shorten the waiting time (but still wait) or just stand there for hours.
A tip: come early and leave early as the queue for the cars start to grow after 4pm. The waiting time just increase to an hour on a holiday

Really disappointed with this purchase. I booked this tour/combo pack for myself and a friend so that we could see all the sights with a tour guide at Lantau Island but it did not work out as planned AT ALL.
First of all, be warned - even though it says you can pick up your MTR passes at the airport (location listed on the voucher) they will tell you no, this is not the case. The only way we figured out how/where to pick ours up was because our hotel Concierge had to make multiple phone calls on our behalf (and said it was difficult for them to get the information as well). Unfortunately because we weren't able to pick this up at the airport, we had to buy a one way MTR pass to get to the location to get the MTR pass we had already paid for!!
My next warning is related to the tour itself - there is no mention of picking a timeslot when you book, just where to go for the cable car and where to meet your tour guide. We arrived at the Ngong Ping Cable Car office at 9:30 to go on the 10:30 tour - only to be told it was already full and the only open time was 1:30!! I'm not sure if this was filled with other people who had prebooked or with people who showed up day-of, but either way better communication around what what times are available (they are listed wrong on the voucher BTW) and how to get a spot in the group you want would be helpful.
Lack of communication and necessary information is really the main problem here - I ended up paying for a tour I was unable to join, had to pay for extra train tickets to get the office to pick up my train ticket and had to pay for additional transportation to Tai-O even though that was supposed to be included in the tour price too.
All that being said, the cable car ride is beautiful, seeing the Big Buddha and other sites at Lantau are incredible and SO worth it - I would just avoid buying this package because it will end up costing you more $$ and causing more frustrating than are necessary.

The combo worked well and represented value for money as we used the MTR a lot. The tickets for the cable car gave us access to the express lane which was a huge advantage as we heard of hour long queues but we only had to wait a few minutes. The instructions need to update. I waited for 30 minutes for the desk to open only to be told to go to a different desk to what the coupon instructed.
