We’ve been on a lot of Hop on Hop off buses in various countries. This one falls short for the price of $44 USD per adult. It says 9 stops but they count the cruise port as stop 1 and 9. The biggest problem is that there is almost no commentary. The bus was clean and the driver and other employee were very nice and friendly. The price point is my biggest complaint. We did a Hop on Hop off bus last week in Cork, Ireland for less than half the price. Perhaps investigate other options such as the little blue and white train.

We arrived in Haugesund this morning on our last stop of a seven day P & O cruise, as we hadn’t booked an excursion we decided we would go on the hop on hop off bus available from the quayside. For the 2 of us it around £80. It was by far the worst ever excursion we’ve been on in 50
Years of travelling abroad. The expression of being taken around the houses, quite literally was what we did, 90% was through residential areas. Our only recommendation would be avoid at at all costs, as you will be extremely disappointed. In conclusion this was a complete waste of time and money.

Perfect for exploring all day long! Easy to find from the cruise terminal. We had a blast the whole time and the driver was great

It was boring and they made very little of the vast history of the area you got more information at the bus stops signs display

One of the key attractions advertised the brochure was the Dokkin Museum. I got off at stop 5 as did a few other people. It is 10 min walk. We got to the museum and it was closed. We all walked back to the bus stop. When the bus arrived people started getting off but we told them that the museum was closed. Most got back on the bus immediately as there was no reason to stay. I talked to bus driver who just grunted. When I got back to the port I went to the hop on hut where I purchased the ticket. The guys seemed uninterested and said I should have checked with the tourist office first. If the museum was not on your preferred stopping location I understand but it clearly it is. I asked why the driver did not announced it was shut but they just shrugged. There were a number of elderly people trying to get to the museum only to find their walk was in vain.
I am sorry but very poor service.

what a rip off, 4 people 160 euro and what did we see nothing just drove around the back streets of haugesund looking at peoples houses, a school, a hospital , a monument, and thats it 30mins, free wifi on board total rubbish did not work , i would have had a better time if i took my 160 euro and just give it away to people in the main street of haugesund, instead of them thieves on the hop on bus taking me for a ride. so do yourselves a favour if your on a cruise just walk over the bridge into town
or you can get the free shuttle bus but dont use the rip off hop on bus,

This review is about the land train, which I believe is the same company. Please avoid at all costs. It's a complete waste of money - one of the "attractions" they point out is an old folks home!! Then you are taken around some residential areas, and shown 2 parks. Seriously....... don't use this! We wasted £76.44 and an hour of our lives that we'll never get back!

I was on a family holiday on the Iona cruise. We spent 2925NOK for 6 adults and 1 child for this hopoff and hopon tour. It's a 1 star experience overall, and for the price we paid I will certainly give 0 stars. The driver was not helpful either after arguing with a truck driver.

Absolute rip off , we were charged £105 for a trip that was mostly in the town which is easily in walking distance from cruise terminal , shocking way to treat visitors to Norway !!!

There are 7 stops on this bus, number 1 and number 7 are the cruise terminal. Number 2 is a stop in town a short distance from the terminal. Number 2 to 3 take you thru the suburban area looping the town, and talks about cost of living, schools etc. There is a long way between 2 and 3 nothing really to see, but it bypasses a lookout that overlooks the town, which would have been interesting to see as it supposedly offers panoramic views of the city. Didn’t stop. Number 3 is a monument which the bus stops for ten minutes, so no need to hop on and off here, just get off the bus take photos then you’re back on the bus for stop 4. Number 4 is the start of town so we thought a good place to start to see the sights, that the hop on hop off map suggests you see. Once you finish this walk you’re basically at stop 6, then the next stop is the terminal. So really no need to go again. It cost Aus$ 65.00 per person for about 1/2 an hour once you get to stop 4. We found it a total rip off as we could have done that route in a taxi for much less. My husbands head set was not working so we had to share. Free on board wifi would not connect. We attempted to connect 3 different devices with no success. I advised this to the staff at the kiosk and he told me that if I mentioned this that the bus driver would have turned the router off then on. Yeah right, When I tried to connect it connected once then immediately dropped out and a notice came up that there were several networks trying to connect to the free wi fi so connection would be difficult. Plus you’ve probably got a whole bus trying to connect, We asked for our money back as we were unsatisfied and thought the whole thing was a rip off, but of course they refused. Brochure states tickets are non refundable. Spoke to a’supervisor’ who said she was not authorised to credit our money and I would have to contact customer service. Now let’s just say they agree to a miracle refund, I would have to give them my bank details for the refund (ain’t going to happen)when all the ‘supervisor’ in charge had to do was press the credit button on her machine. There is a free shuttle bus into the town centre from the cruise terminal which allows you to be dropped off in town and walk around and walk the waterfront. Do yourself a favour and save the 450 krono and use this free service. Your not going to see anything else that warrants the outlay of funds when there is a free shuttle available. Stop number 2 is where the free shuttle service drops you off.
