Walking from this bank of Perfume River to other side and coming to a vendor who is very popular to the local over 45 years for her Bun Hen (tiny clam noodle)

We then keep walking into Citadel and find a very popular lady for Bun bo Hue.

Would 100% recommend! I ended up with private tour as no one else was booked. So much yummy food and Sue did a great job of explaining the history and context of Hue's iconic dishes. It was my first experience riding on back of scooter and I loved it! It was a great way to get a sense of the city in a short time as I had less than 24hrs in Hue so limited time to explore.

If you’re a food explorer and open to new tastes, this is a wonderful way to eat delicious local food where the locals eat it (we didn’t see a foreigner anywhere). Sue is an excellent guide and the flavors are wonderful. Highly recommended!!

Sue led me on an excellent food tour through Hue, and we tried many region dishes that I would never have discovered otherwise. She has expert knowledge of the city, and led me on an exploration of Dong Ba Market and a few other interesting places. Highly recommended. Thank you!

Phenomenal food tour of all the authentic Hue eats! My was a spectacular guide, who took my wife and I to try all the best spots. We ate all the flavors and authentic dishes of the city. Some of our favorites were the nem chua, delicious che dessert, and cơm hền. My is most knowledgeable of the local history and best town spots. She is a hilarious and witty guide. 100% recommend the walking tour option with My for families, small groups, and couples. Thank you My!

Matthew’s enthusiasm and love for his city is contagious.
His knowledge of the history of the town and food is exceptional.
The food was delicious and you certainly don’t go hungry.
Would suggest use the cyclos.

This tour was the highlight of our Hue experience. Matthew was super nice and explained the story behind each food. We wouldn’t be able to find these local food places ourselves. Loved it!

We booked a private food tour with Matt, and it was truly exceptional. I encourage anyone to consider booking this tour. Matt guided us to authentic local spots we wouldn't have discovered on our own. The flavors we experienced were outstanding, and Matt's storytelling skills were equally impressive. Incredible, every detail was perfect. The food was tasty, lots of variety and all from authentic places. Matt is a great story teller, so knowledgeable about anything you ask and speaks perfect English.

What an incredible experience in Hue! Matthew gave great explanations of the food and why he chose each restaurant for each particular dish. He was candid about his life and family, culture and food. I had a huge smile on my face riding on the back of his motorbike. It was surprisingly comfortable and I felt safe l. The food was delicious 😋 and I was so stuffed by the end of the tour. Thank you to Matthew for such a great experience.
