Itinerary

Day 1: Cusco - Km 82 - Hatunchaca - Ayapata

Stop At: Inca Trail, Cusco 08000 Peru
We will start by pick up from your hotel in Cusco at 4:30 am and transfer you to Km. 82, where we will report to the checkpoint to begin the hike.

We will start by easy trail, a 2 hour walk to Llactapata, the first archaeological center, we will have an impressive view, and then continue another 2 hours walk to Hatuncancha, where lunch is waiting for us. After a rest we will continue 2 hours to our camp in Ayapata, where our staff will be waiting for us with their campsite installed, with a hot drink and a snack for the night.

Day 2: Ayapata – Warmiwañuska – Runcuraccay – Chaquicocha

Stop At: Inca Trail, Cusco 08000 Peru
At sunrise a cup of tea or coffee awaits us, then enjoy a delicious breakfast to continue our hike, today will be a challenging day, we will have a 4 hour hike uphill to reach the pass of the Dead Woman 4215 m / 13829 feet, the highest point of our trek to Machu Picchu. At the summit we will take a break to enjoy all the scenery that surrounds the trail to Machu Picchu. We will continue a 2 hour descent until we reach the Pacaymayu valley, where lunch awaits us, and then continue 2 hours of hiking on easy trail, enjoying the archaeological centers of the Inca Trail: Runqurakay and Sayacmarca, and after 20 minutes we will arrive at our campsite in Chaquicocha.

Day 3: Chaquiccocha – Phuyupatamarca – Wiñaywayna

Stop At: Inca Trail, Cusco 08000 Peru
Today we will have a varied journey, with a trek of about 5 hours to reach our camp, where we can explore two archaeological sites; Phuyupatamarca and Intipata, we will arrive at our campsite for the lunch time and enjoy the free time to rest and relax. In the afternoon we will visit WiñayWayna, where our guide will explain the history of this extraordinary place, after the visit we will return to our campsite to rest.

Day 4: Wiñaywayna - Sun Gate - Machu Picchu - Cusco

Stop At: Santuario Historico de Machu Picchu, Machu Picchu Peru
The great day arrives after 3 days of visiting gorgeous Inca trails that lead to Machu Picchu, we will wake up very early to visit Machu Picchu, after breakfast we will walk for 1 hour to the Sun Gate, from where we will enjoy the magnificence of Machu Picchu, and enjoy the sunrise from the sun gate, then we will descend to the Inca City, we will have a guided tour of the Inca city of Machu Picchu, after finishing the visit our guide will indicate us to take the bus back to Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes), where you can have lunch and enjoy free time and then take the train to Ollantaytambo and return to Cusco.

El trekking por camino inka fue una experiencia maravillosa, a pesar de ser una caminata exigente, nuestros amigos de Andino tours, hicieron que sea una experiencia diferente, por su acogida muy hogareña o como en casa, su buen servicio, la amabilidad de cada uno de los integrantes del equipo…nuestro guía, Rosalio, con su explicación detallada de todo lo referente a las ruinas de camino Inka y la ciudadela de Machupicchu, su paciencia con nosotros cuando nos sentíamos agotados por el cansancio durante la travesía ( descansábamos en las subidas, jejeje)…nuestros alimentos desayuno, almuerzo, cena, hora del té y snaks preparados por Tomas, nuestro chef o cocinero 🧑‍🍳, quien es muy atento y amable, preparaba los alimentos con productos de la región, con un excelente sabor!!😋, una limpieza y orden adecuados (que en lo personal es lo que busco y me reconforta) y por supuesto mencionar a cada miembro del equipo de porteadores ( Aurelio 1 y 2, Sr. Esteban y Siríaco 1 y 2), cada uno de ellos cumplía una función durante los 4 días de caminata y la cumplieron de maravilla con mucha responsabilidad y siempre trabajando en equipo, igualmente mencionar nuestro recojo de hotel antes de iniciar la caminata y posterior traslado de Machupicchu a Cusco al término de la misma, con una buena coordinación y puntualidad por parte de la empresa que está a cargo de Tomás, todo el equipo, “UN GRAN EQUIPO”…nos hemos sentido como en casa y nuestra experiencia en camino Inka fue más que grata, maravillosa!!!..agradecemos de todo corazón a cada uno de ellos y Dios les bendiga y para quienes quieran hacer camino Inka, o la ruta a Choquequirao u otro tours, les recomendamos a este grupo de amigos, con quienes, estamos seguros, se sentirán complacidos!..🤗😊😃
