This is not our first cooking class but it was the worst.
There were 14 in our group, in our opinion 6-8 would have been better served.
We were marched to the market to buy ingredients, which we were told were the best seafood.
We were left to wander, unaccompanied in the emptying market for 20 minutes before being marched (15 minutes) to the kitchen.
The kitchen was nothing like the one shown in the pictures, much smaller, with no room to stand next to the food preparation for all of us and very run down.
We were given Sangria and waited a long time while our host prepared in the kitchen.
There were a lot of instructions on preparation, most of which could be heard but not seen as there was no room around the food preparation area.
Six of us were asked to help, by stirring the paellas, preparing prawns, or chopping peppers but no other hands-on experience for any of us.
A few meagre tapas dishes were offered on one corner of the food preparation area. No explanation on preparation was offered.
Yet another wait, and more Sangria, (beer and lemonade were also on offer), and the paellas were served. Mine was so salty as to be inedible. The mussels were tiny and shrivelled. Only the prawns were good. Our host was enthusiastic but the group's spirits waned as the evening progressed.
The whole evening was very disappointing, and it was not worth it for €69 per person. In my opinion, this was not a satisfactory “Interactive Spanish Cooking Experience”.

Fun experience. Liz and Daphne were great. Food was yummy. We got to see that market on the ramblas too, which was a nice surprise.

Our guide Liz and our chef Daphne made this an incredible experience! I signed up solo and met another solo traveler there, but we also bonded with all of the other group members as well. It very quickly became a fun, communal experience to cook the paella together, and enjoy snacks and sangria along the way. I learned so much from Liz and Daphne, and the location/view from the kitchen could not have been more gorgeous!

Our host was amazing host. Great experience viewing the market with local seafood & vendors of fruits, food, vegetables and more. They had vegan options and none seafood options as well. An easy find in the area and provided food and drinks in addition to history about the culture.

We had a wonderful time with Andrea, shopping at la Boqueria , making Sangria and cooking seafood paella. Beautiful open and sunny kitchen and dining room "classroom", as well! Far exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend, it was a highlight of our trip - great family fun!

Liz and Daphne were a great duo to have leading this activity.
We booked last minute, same day and I'm so glad we did. I'd categorize this as one of the best interactive activities I've done. It was dinner, learning and fun all in one.
We had a great larger group and it made the meal filled with their energy. Liz and Daphne kept it fun the whole time and it's an experience we'll remember forever!

I’m so glad my boyfriend and I decided to take this class. The chef was excellent and taught us a lot. It’s also a fun way to interact with other travelers.

We had a fantastic experience with Chef Andre while learning how to make Sangria and Paella. The setting was amazing in a private kitchen and intimate dining with other travelers in the group. If you’re considering this experience you won’t be disappointed. We loved being able to experience Spain this way.

I love the part when we actually in the process of learning how to cook the paella. Everyone in the group participated in the process and asks questions. In the beginning we were strangers from each others and we were friends while cooking and dining, must be the sangria that Kako (the Chef) made! The paella was delicious. I highly recommended this experience.
