Began our tour by getting into warm full length suits. We were fortunate to have a sunny day. Fantastic crew Brit and Greg, Brit was great with her knowledge of the wildlife and area, Greg’s experience as a captain was put to the test with a few whitecaps. No whales unfortunately, but that is nature for you. Still a great day.

An incredible day on the water with knowledgable and enthusiastic naturalist Alex and experienced boat driver Beth. We opted for the small open vessel and were able to get close to the wildlife and have one-on-one time with the crew, who answered all of our questions. They work hard to make sure you see the best that is on the water that day. A trio of humpback whales kindly stayed in one area. We were able to enjoy them for a couple of hours, along with a rare pod of dolphins. We also saw seals, sea lions, and starfish. Departure and return to Granville Island offers plenty of unique food and beverage choices before and after the tour. A fabulous day on the water, highly recommend.

After extreme heartbreak from having our Alaska cruise cancelled, we had to book last minute plans for our last minute extended stay in Vancouver! This was a blessing in disguise as we were so lucky that we got to sit and watch about 7 orcas for about an hour🤩 Such an amazing experience. We also spotted seals, seal lions & a bald eagle. The tour guides were so lovely & were very well educated about the whales. We booked the Zodiac tour and the boat journey in itself was wicked & every single seat in the boat provides a perfect view. Unfortunately we didn’t get to see any humpbacks! (Not the tour guides fault lol, they are wild animals at the end of the day). Thanks for a making our trip to Vancouver a great one :)

Very good whale watching tour. The staff are all very friendly and eager to answer any questions and make the experience as comfortable as possible. We saw a family of T99 orcas hunting a seal, 2 sea lions, a separate seal and a humpback whale. We were on the boat for around 4.5 hours, even though we saw the orcas within 2.5hrs, so Andy & our driver (sorry, forgot her name!!) really tried to maximise our experience and didn't cut any corners. Expectations were managed well as it was explained that we had to keep our distance and follow regulations. The company are good with safety & conservation regulations and care for the sustainability of the area (eg: we stopped to get a plastic balloon out of the ocean). I think the key is to book with realistic expectations. There's an element of luck with what you see and you have to be patient, eg: we waited about 30mins and only caught around 15 seconds of the humpback whale! It's not SeaWorld but that's what makes this experience so magical, and this is a very good company that tries its best to ensure everyone has the best experience possible.

From the moment we checked in, to handing back our float suits the staff were absolutely incredible! Our tour guide Ashley was so passionate and makes you feel so special. Although it was her 12th year, she knows this is your first time and is just as excited as you! So knowledgable too. We had a beautiful day for it and watched a pod of orcas with their baby hunt and feed and then play around! We then went to see sea lions and finally humpbacks on the way back to Vancouver! It was incredible! They work with other tour companies and take different routes to their other tours boats to ensure they cover as much area as possible, so a sighting is usually always guaranteed! Would recommend to anyone

We had a wonderful trip with Wild Whales and not only saw hump backed and killer whales but also sea lions, a bald headed eagle and a puffin. Sally was the best tour guide. She had lots of interesting info to tell us but also tactfully left us to view with our family. She gave information when the whales appeared and was happy to answer any questions. Her enthusiasm for wildlife and her job really shone through and was infectious. She was also great with the kid on the boat and our young people, very inclusive. It was a terrific trip and she and the captain went to a lot of trouble to make sure everyone was having a great time - which we definitely did. Before booking the trip, we looked at different whale watching companies and I liked the fact that Wild Whales allowed you to reserve places and then turn up on the day and pay. The partly covered boat was a good size, not too small and not too big. A great part of our stay in Vancouver.

Took the tour on the Open Air Vessel (which was very comfortable) but unfortunately the experience was so below my expectations. Got to see four orcas but 200 metres away near the coast. Thank God cameras have good zooms nowadays. Otherwise I could have only seen their fins. Added to that, we didn’t see one single whale. No searching for whales at all. The photos at the ticket office have NOTHING to do with reality. The staff is super friendly and nice and knowledgeable, but if you want to see whales and truly experience interacting with whales (or at least actually watching them) you better find another place.

Once in a lifetime trip which far exceeded expectations! Our guide Ashley was very passionate and knowledgeable which made the experience all the more memorable. Watching the orca Chainsaw catch a seal and drag it under our zodiac was second to none! In total we saw 9 orcas, 2 grey whales , many sealions and 2 bald eagles. Would highly recommend wild whales when visiting Vancouver! 5/5 😁

I was visiting Vancouver for the first time from Ottawa. I had a blast! I took the tour solo but was on the boat with 11 others and our trip took a total of 5 hours. What an amazing experience! We found several orca pods thanks to our very knowledgable naturalist and boat captain. We got jumps, twirls, waves -- we got every type of behviour from the orcas.A few even came so close to our boat (one jumped very close to our boat). It was absolutely beautiful. We even met Chainsaw, a famous male orca who is very well known to locals. His name might sound menacing, but he is not (he's name after his 6ft tall raggedy dorsal fin). The whales came close to our boat as well. We also saw lots of sea lions, seals and bald eagles. I took thousands of pictures and have yet to go through all of them. There was just so much to take pictures of. Our naturalist and boat captain were very knowledgable and so much fun. I took the Zodiac boat -- a fast speedboat-type. What a ride! I took thousand I would highly recommend Whild Whales. I've been on whale watching tours before on the east coast and they were good (can't complain) but this was something else. I can't wait to come back and go again and again and again.
