Itinerary
Firstly, you will find your way to my home in Acıbadem, Kadıköy, a central neighborhood in Asian side of Istanbul. I will welcome you to my home, where we will have some tea, coffee to warm up and get to know each other. Since this will be a cultural exchange experience purposed around an electronic music workshop, we will share cultures and I will introduce you to Turkish home hospitality.
After warming up with some chats, I will tell you about my life as an Electronic DJ in Istanbul. Then, we will come around the mixer, where I will introduce you to the mixer. Firstly I will describe and tell about the mixer's buttons. Then, I will lead you through a DJing session.
We will pretty much chill and make some music together, while I share my knowledge on Electronic music with you.
So, come to my home, have a tea, coffee and let's make bond through making music together.

Awesome experience! Melis really knows her stuff and she’s super friendly and outgoing. My friend and me learned a lot in a short period and had a lot of fun while doing it. Melis let us get familiar with the mixer and gave us some challenging tasks to work on. She also has an awesome cat. Will recommend.

Melis is not only the best DJ, but probably one of the coolest people that you can meet on your travels in the city. She is both an academician and a DJ. She is also a great host that tells a lot about the city with her own perspective. If you are actually looking for learning more about Electronic Music culture in Istanbul and learn DJing from a real DJ, that's where you should come. With her knowledge and helps, you can even find the coolest Electronic Music events in Istanbul. If you are lucky and she is playing at a gig on your travels dates (which was our case :)), you can even go to her gig, which is pretty cool. Long story short, 100% recommended!
