Not being a fan of opera I booked this for my wife to make up for dragging her round the HZero model railway exhibition in Florence. We both thoroughly enjoyed it. The acoustics in the venue were superb. The two opera singers had wonderful, powerful voices and were very expressive. The staff managing the event were welcoming and helpful. There’s a short interval with a small range of soft and alcoholic drinks available.

We were alerted to this thrice weekly event by fellow guests at our hotel, and booked in the morning for a performance in the evening. Once booked, seats are reserved, so arriving at 9pm for the 9 15pm start was fine. We loved the roughly 90 minutes of opera classics, even our 23 year old son, who was not sure it was his 'thing'. Fun and a little different from the main touristic things in the city!

The mezzo soprano and pianist scheduled that evening were excellent. The singer's technical skills and styling were top notch. Also, the pianist accompanied the singer seamlessly and his solos were dramatic as well. The venue was beautiful with great acoustics. There is no air conditioning, so if it is a hot night, wear light clothing. Highly recommend.

Nice experience watching a female soprano and male pianist perform 11 songs from well known operas, plus one encore song.
Venue was an old church which had very good acoustics.
Only issue was the current heatwave which made the church very hot. No aircon but several oscillating fans - not really enough to keep you comfortable. So much so that one of our party left early due to the heat.
