Really good tour with our guide Andre. He was very knowledgeable and entertaining, guiding the group around the various locations. The group was quite large and there were a number of other tours happening in the same areas at the same time, but it wasn't a problem.

The tour guide, J.P. Priestley, was excellent and dressed in a brightly colored coat which kind of set the mood well. This guy authored several books and a guide to the Jack the Ripper murders. I just thought he was an entertaining actor who claimed he did several things I didn’t believe until the end.. My only complaint was that it was a bit too long for me; however, the length was stated on the website. There was a restroom at the bar (The Bell) at the end where there was a nice slideshow where we could sit down.

Andre? Was amazing! Certainly knew his stuff and added a real theatrical twist to the tour. His personal connection to the subject was the icing on the cake!! Would recommend the tour

Ben, our guide, is a dedicated professional who really know his subject matter. He is informative, funny at times which is a relief, considering the pathos of the theme. Not only did he cover the murders of the so called Jack, but the socio political scenario of the east end at the end of the Victorian period. It's about psicopathy, murder, discrimination, bungling police work and the general mysery it was being a poor person en 1888.

This was horrendous. We stood outside while a tour guide lectured us, and showed us pictures. Also known as Ripper vision from a head held projector.. terrible, I want my money back

This tour is as advertised, but take note, the tour groups seem to have no caps on how many people can join the tour. I took the tour with my family on a Saturday evening and there was close to 50 people. Most of the relevant locations have changed over the years ( to be expected after 100 years!) but you’re really spending the evening walking from one generic, modern office building to another. The tour guide was very enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and theatrical. He obviously knew his stuff. BUT if you want to know his theory of who the killer is, well you need to buy his book. Jack The Ripper: One Autumn in Whitechapel Paperback But the large group just changed the dynamic, everyone seemed unengaged and bored. I’m not sure I even heard anyone ask him a question. Another thing to note, is how many OTHER Ripper tours were happening at the same time. There was one occasion when 5 different Ripper tours in the same square trying to avoid each other. My advice, buy the book, skip this tour, and do the guide’s Medieval London tour instead. He said maybe six people show up for that one. Or, if you just have to do this tour, go on a weekday so maybe it’s a smaller group and fewer other Ripper tours to battle. My advice to the tour operator, charge more $$$ and have smaller groups! You’ll probably get more tips.
