Did you know that Japanese paper, known as "washi" in Japanese, has a rich history of over 1,000 years? It's also fascinating that washi is extensively used for the restoration of valuable cultural artifacts due to its thin and delicate texture, combined with remarkable durability. We invite you to join us for this exceptional experience where you can delve into the history and learn the techniques of creating your very own unique washi.
Tosa Washi, originating from Kochi Prefecture in the Shikoku area, is one of the three renowned "Yamato" washi varieties. As a cherished traditional craft of Japan, washi is celebrated for its exquisite dyeing techniques as well as its diverse range of colors, thicknesses, and unique manufacturing process.
The shop displays a wide variety of washi paper artworks and products for customers to appreciate, making them perfect as souvenirs to gift to friends and family. All guests from the workshop are entitled to a 10% discount on store merchandise.

My friend and I had a wonderful experience learning about and making washi paper. Our instructor was very kind and talented. I definitely would recommend this to anyone who likes to make one of a kind art. I have 4 beautiful post cards that I love so much I may not be able to post and a mat.
