We just walked up to the area where all of the jaunting cars were and asked for a ride. You don't need to book this ahead of time. The ride takes you through a portion of the park. IT's nice enough. The driver told us a story or two and gave us some of the history. We saw the deer, the lake, the castle (from a distance). Overall it was a nice little ride. We saved money by not booking ahead. He asked for 15 euros per person and we took all six in the same carriage.

We booked a jaunting car tour for Saturday, April 27th with McCarthys based on online reviews. It far exceeded our expectations. Damien, our guide/driver, was friendly, polite and knowledgeable. We enjoyed talking with him and would highly recommend McCarthy Killarney carriage rides.

If I could give Damien and his horse Molly ten stars I would. Damien couldn’t have been nicer or friendlier and he provided so much information about the park and its history, as well as some Irish history as well. The park itself is indescribably beautiful. I had high expectations and both Damien and the park exceeded them a hundred fold. Everywhere you look the beauty of the park is breathtaking. As soon as you think you’ve seen it all there is more beauty around the bend. 100% must do. Be sure to ask for Damien!

It was a fabulous hour, with Jamie guiding us through each step of the way. Mollie is amazing, and we're very grateful for the warmth, friendliness and thoughtfulness of Jamie as the driver and narrator. Thank you. We had a wonderful ride through Killarney park with a stop to explore Muckross Abbey. Our very knowledgeable and personable guide shared lots of interesting stories with us about the Abbey and the history of the park. We ended our ride at his home where we were treated to tea and music. We had a great time!

We had the most amazing time haunting with our guide, Damien! We saw all sorts of wildlife, learned about the regions history and he even took some wonderful family pictures for us. Even with a storm coming, it was a comfortable, gorgeous experience that we would highly recommend if you’re in the area. We would definitely do it again!

My wife, son, mother in law and I came to Ireland for vacation and wanted to experience it to the fullest. I'm so glad we chose this jaunt cart because the family running it were very informative and so welcoming. He helped my mother in law, who has limited mobility, get in and out of the cart as well as taking her all the way to the Abbey so she didn't have to walk far. They made this one of the best parts of our trip, thank you so much!!

The people. Damian and Martin were fantastic hosts, driver, and guide.
So glad we booked.
Damian was very knowledgeable, personable, and informative.
Martin invited us to tea and played a few trad tunes on his squeeze box!
Can’t ask for more than that.
The park is absolutely gorgeous.
