Very good! Felt a little rushed getting ready. Overall a good experience! Wearing the kimono was a good experience. Not enough space to take photos.

I loved this experience. The kimonos were lovely, with the ladies helping us with getting them on and doing our hair. The host for the ceremony was lovely, providing a great atmosphere and experience. The venue was a gorgeous 160 year old traditional house with beautiful gardens.

Very cool experience. From the beginning, there were many kind employees that helped us to pick out the kimonos, get dressed, and do our hair to look the part. The actual tea ceremony was very personable as the host went around, asking where everyone was from and what their previous experience was with tea ceremonies. It was incredible to see the diverse range of people from many different countries that were participating with us. The ceremony was also very interactive, as the host taught us how to whisk our own tea, and described all the small pieces that made each tea ceremony unique. Thank you so much for allowing us to participate in this!

This was such a beautiful experience that my friends and I loved! It was one of our favourites things to have done throughout our whole trip! We got dressed up in the kimonos and we felt like princesses we didn't want to take them off at the end! Our tea ceremony included a brief talk about the history of the tea ceremony. Then our host went through the cleansing process and the tea making and taught us how to properly make matcha tea. We were provided with Yatsuhashi- a traditional dessert almost like mochi which we ate before the tea. After the ceremony we went into the garden and took lots of pictures, I recommend this to everyone and was very worth the value!

Very well done experience. From the greetings of the staff to the fitting of kimonos to the introduction to the tea ceremony, a very pleasant and informative experience. Total time runs approximately 45-50 minutes with plenty of photo ops. Our guide, May, had excellent English skills. 5/5 would recommend this to others visiting Kyoto.
