Krabi Hong Island Tour: Charter Private Long-tail Boat

The boat took off from the beach at our hotel and had three destinations. The first destination was the one we spent the longest at. It was an island that had both a beach and a staircase you could climb to the top of the mountain to get a good view. I grabbed a smoothie at the refreshment shack and laid on the shady part of the beach while my life climbed up the mountain to get a good view. We went in the water as well, which was extremely warm, but we did need to watch out for the jellyfish! I accidentally bumped into one, but luckily it did not bother me. After about an hour and a half, we got back on our boat and headed to the next destination. This was one was just a picture opportunity, where we stayed in the boat with a nice landscape behind us. Lastly, we headed over to another smaller island where we hung out on the beach for about a half an hour until it was finally time to head home. On the way back, we went by an island inhabited by monkeys and got to toss fruit at them. It was fun to see them go after the fruit and even swim out into the water to get it! Overall, it was a really great experience.

Our family really enjoyed our private tour of the islands. Climb the stairs at Koh Hong, the view is amazing.

Great tour and the captain was great. Unfortunately there were jellyfish everywhere which made it impossible to snorkel without getting stung on the face and we had to be cautious while swimming, however can't blame the tour for nature. When we did try to snorkel it was unfortunately a bit disappointing probably from overtourism destroying it all. Regardless the tour was well-run and all went smooth.

Hong island is beautiful. The trail, the see, the view from the lookout is beautiful. However, we paid for 2 island private tour, which our boatman did not know about. He didn't speak English and we weren't given snorkel equipment, luckily we had our own. Since we couldn't negotiate with him, he couldn't even tell us where to snorkel. He didn't even know we were going to 2 islands. On the way home, we saw one boat that they were snorkeling next to, so we stopped it for 10 minutes, we saw 1-2 fish there. This trip was not worth the price.

This trip was one off the most memorable and beautiful tour , the places where we were and the viewpoints where organizers it was absolutely incredibly beautiful. I can highly recommend if you are in the area .

Truly a one of a kind experience and the only way I would island hop in Krabi again! We will be telling the story of this trip for the rest of our lives! First, I had requested to change the pick-up location and the response was prompt and without any problems. My wife and I were picked up on time, the driver was even waiting for us when we walked out to the lobby of our hotel. The weather was beautiful and we hopped right into the boat and took off - about 80% into the trip to the first island our boats motor blew and we were slightly stranded but the crew was no way shaken and got us to the first stop. Just some extra laughs and a great story to share. After our first island my wife and I went back out and the crew had already prepared and called out a new boat for us to finish the day! The rest of the trip was filled with some snorkeling but most importantly beautiful vistas and an unbelievable ride! I would highly recommend the private route as we were able to connect with our drivers and learn a little bit more about the culture and areas we visited.

I highly recommend this tour! My friends & I had an amazing time on our half day excursion to the hong islands with our guide. We felt safe & comfortable. Our boat driver was incredibly friendly and helped us to decide on the perfect itinerary for us. He even showed us one of the jelly fish in the water before we jumped in to snorkel. The fruit on the boat was delicious and fresh as well. Don't miss this!

Our guide was very friendly. He got us to the island first (before any other tourists), made us a delicious fruit platter, took nice photos of us, and even applied vinegar to a few minor jellyfish stings we got.

We were picked up a bit earlier - 6:30am - to beat most of the morning crowds. We loved all the spots and felt like we had enough time to see it all. We went snorkelling and saw lots of yellow striped fish - amazing! Our captain was friendly and provided us with water and watermelon and pineapple. We had a big ice cooler for our other snacks and water. Would recommend this for other couples and families!

Our boat captain was amazing and didn’t rush us at all through the stops. The concerns I had are with the company. They sent a note asking if 8am pickup would work. I asked if 7 would be ok as I wanted an early start. 5 days, no reply. I didn’t get a reply even the day before. I tried to send another note asking to confirm if they will be picking us up at 7 as requested. Again no response. I had to reach out to Viator for support and even they struggled to get a response. I finally got a reply less than 12 hours before the start of our tour, ignoring again my request for 7am, stating they will pick us up at 8 Why pay for a private tour if it’s not customizable at all. Including the start time…
