You can enjoy the tea ceremony experience while wearing a kimono in this program. First, choose a kimono with your favorite color and pattern from the rich kimono collection in Nishijin, Kyoto. We will help you with your hair set before putting on your kimono. After that, you will have a simple photo shoot and then enjoy the tea ceremony experience with a master. Our tea room has been used for three generations. It is located near Daitokuji Temple, a place related to Japanese tea culture. It's a bit old, but we'll do our best to relieve your fatigue from your trip to Japan. First, a tea master who has studied tea ceremonies for 50 years will show you the traditional Japanese tea ceremony. After having a cup of tea with seasonal sweets, we will explain the historical background of the tea ceremony. Of course, in the end, you can experience making tea yourself. Why don't you share a wonderful once-in-a-lifetime time with the tea master?

Emerse yourself in this one of a kind, traditional japanese experince. The ladies were incredibly nice, polite and helpful while putting the kimono on. They taught us every step and the history behind all the layers, such as the name in japanese. A calm, private experience where we were able to be a Master of Tea for a few moments. Definitely a must visit! Best wishes from Jessica and Marco from Portugal

Certainly one of the highlights from our Japan vacation. Our excellent host provided us with a full immersion into the Japanese culture. We were all wearing wonderful kimonos, our sons had even samurai style and shogun style kimono. Thanks to her excellent English, we could get answers to our many questions. This was an afternoon full of kindness and we went home happy and delighted.

It’s kinda far from the main tourist area but it’s worth it I swear ! We took a 25 min cab ride . Everyone there was so friendly so welcoming so lovely ! I loved every minute of it ! You pick your kimono and the beautiful helpful ladies dress you up and even style your hair ! The wonderful gentleman leading the tour takes good pictures and tells you how to pose . We had tea with the tea master and she explained every step . They also guided some of us to make the tea :) it was so fun ! Highly highly recommend !!!

The Teamaster, Caren, was a great hostess & explained the tea culture, ceremony & formalities particularly well. Her team were all very friendly & seemed to enjoy the visit as much as we did. A joy from start to finish & the 90 minute experience was over far too quickly. Highly recommend a visit…
