Stop At: Arenal 1968 Volcano View & Trails, Arenal Volcano National Park, La Fortuna de San Carlos 21007 Costa Rica
The tour starts with a hotel pickup followed by a 30-minute drive to the 1968 Arenal Volcano Park, where you will start your activity, a 2.30 hour hike to the base of Arenal Volcano. The hike is fairly easy and most of it is over flat ground. The goal is to arrive at a Dry lava field from 1968 eruption (this part of the trail is rocky), see it, talk about it and give you all the history about the Arenal Volcano.

Stop At: La Fortuna Waterfall, Arenal Volcano National Park, La Fortuna de San Carlos 106-4417 Costa Rica
Afterwards, you will be driven for another 30 minutes to reach La Fortuna Waterfall. The hike to the base of the waterfall has about 500 steps (which you will need to climb back up). Once at the base, you will have some time to swim and enjoy the waterfall.

Stop At: Arenal Hanging Bridges, Arenal Volcano National Park 21007 Costa Rica
You will spend about 2.5 hours hiking in a primary rainforest, where you will cross about 16 hanging bridges called the Mistico Hanging Bridges. This hike in a large forest with nothing compared to the one in the Volcano Trails, so enjoy it as much as you can..... and remember it's a Rainforest so expect rain, and bring your rain gear.

This is a nice 3-part tour of the volcano area. The tour guide was fantastic and we had a good driver as well. Our guide made sure to answer all of our questions, explain the history and stop and show us the wildlife. If your stay is short as was mine, I highly recommend this tour and make a full day to see it all.

Wilbert was a fantastic guide. Without him we would not have seen most of the wildlife that we saw. Swimming in LaFortuna waterfall was a lifelong memory. The hanging bridges tour was right out of a storybook. My 6 year old son loved the tour of the 1968 dry lava bed the most. Definitely recommend this tour to anyone seeking adventure but It’s a lot of walking and steps.

Amazing full day tour with three activities and lunch, with knowledgeable and energetic guide and experienced driver! Wish we had a little more time at the waterfall as this was a highlight for us. Pura Vida!

We had a fabulous visit to this magnificent natural wonder. The hike down and up was challenging but not impossible and anyone in good health can do it. No need to rush. The steps are in great condition and there are ample opportunities to stop and rest. The rocks at the falls are slippery and caution is necessary. But so very worth a visit!

One of the best parts of our trip! Our tour guide, Angelica, was very friendly and knowledgeable. In addition to the beautiful scenery, she shared a lot of information about the history of Costa Rica, the plant and animals and what’s happening currently in Costa Rica.

Juan Carlos was the most passionate tour guide I’ve ever had! He went out of his way to show a sloth, monkeys, toucans, snakes, and so many more critters. We loved our experience with him!

This was a great experience! Will was a Terrific Guide. He was very knowledgeable and very personable with all of the travelers.
We did the package that included the Hanging Bridges, the Waterfall, the Volcano Hike, and Lunch. We were picked up exactly at 7am and dropped off before 4pm.
The hikes aren’t too strenuous, but there are a lot of stairs up and down to the waterfall, so I’d say that was the most physical thing of the day.
We saw two types of monkeys, a wild pig, various birds, lizards, and insects, and one tiny snake.
Overall it was a great tour. We had plenty of time to enjoy each experience. I’d definitely recommend it.
