If birds are your thing, in Castilla La Mancha you will find many wetlands. They are ecosystems of great natural value with a rich biological diversity. The perfect setting to get to know in depth a great number of bird species together with a unique flora.
One of the most important lagoon complexes is Villacañas, made up of several wetlands: Laguna Larga, Laguna de Peña Hueca Nature Reserve, Laguna de Tirez Nature Reserve, Laguna La Redondilla and Laguna La Gramosa. They constitute LIC and ZEPA zone.
With this guided tour you will discover the ornithological wealth of La Mancha wetlands. Some of the most common are the Malvasía, the Aguilucho Lagunero, Combatientes, Correlimos or the Garza Real (depending on the time of year).
