Stop At: La Paz Waterfall Gardens, Vara Blanca 40105 Costa Rica
Meet your guide in the lobby of your hotel, get on your transfer vehicle and head to the gardens of the La Paz waterfall. Visit ten animal exhibitions to see fascinating creatures, such as butterflies, monkeys, toads, snakes, exotic birds and even felines from the jungle that roam the place.
Take a moderate-intensity hike to the gardens of the La Paz waterfall, an exuberant green space where biodiversity is very present. Walk the paved trail of 3 kilometers (1.8 mi), which will take you to the base of the La Paz waterfall. This ecological park, with a height that varies between 1,200 and 1,500 meters (4,000 to 5,000 ft), is home to a wide variety of wildlife and plant species.
The La Paz waterfall is a perfect and relaxing destination for the whole family, full of opportunities to take photographs worthy of a postcard of the fantastic natural beauty of Costa Rica.

Very picturesque but a quite difficult trek. Many stairs to climb but worth the effort. I particularly liked the jungle cats.

This trip was so memorable! Our driver Ricardo was so informative, kind, and full of rich knowledge about the area. We were able to stop at a local coffee field, taste fresh strawberries and cheese and sample wine. I had the best time at the wildlife refuge and waterfalls. I loved it so much that I plan on doing this excursion again in the upcoming months with my family.

The most memorable part of my adventure was seeing a sloth in person and feeding the animals. If you are a person that really enjoys scenery and an amazing view this is for you.

Amazing tour! You can’t miss this one. I’m an avid traveler and I’ve done a million tours. This was by far the best I’ve ever been on. Our tour guide Agustin and driver Marco were so kind and friendly. Agustin had so much knowledge and passion for his country and culture. It was infectious. La Paz waterfalls and wildlife refuge were beautiful. So worth the making the trip to Costa Rica!

I was treated to a semi-private tour due to the location of my hotel; just myself and one other participant. Ricardo was a wealth of knowledge and a very kind soul. I would recommend this day trip to someone seeking adventure, but in a safe environment. Our guide handled all the driving, dining, and even made time for rest. It was very good day.
