This is a typical itinerary for this product
Stop At: Lago de Atitlan, Guatemala
Departure time from from Antigua is at 6am. Along the road there are several good restaurants with small handicraft exhibits, ideal to stop for some minutes, stretch legs, drink good coffee, have a quick breakfast, use facilities or do a little shopping if you´re interested in local products.
Before we get to our destination, it is recommended to do a final stop at the beautiful lake viewpoint to take some pictures.
The program for the day is the following:
• 6:00am – Hotel Pick up in Antigua Guatemala
• 7:15am – Quick stop to Chichoy Restaurant to use facilities, get coffee or have breakfast
• 8:45am – Quick stop at lake´s viewpoint
• 9:00am – Arrival to Panajachel and free time
• 9:15am – Group boat tour visiting the following Mayan Villages: San Juan, San Pedro and Santiago
• 4:00pm – Transfer back to Antigua
• 7:00pm – Arrival at Antigua Guatemala

The Mayan villages on the lake are very colorful with great local food and friendly people. The boat ride can be a little rough when the water gets choppy in the afternoon, but it wasn’t a problem for us. Our driver Osman and village guide Nicholas were both very nice and told us lots about the Mayan culture and history.

Great and knowledgeable driver (Osman). Lake is very pretty. First of 3 towns interesting with how chocolate, textiles and bee products made, other 2 towns didn’t offer much.

Our driver was right on time to pick us up. We had a great drive to and from the lake- he was an excellent and very safe driver.
Kevin, our guide, was very well informed, intelligent and interesting. He answered all of our questions about the 3 towns we visited and recommended a great spot in Santiago for lunch.
The ride in the lancha was an adventure as was the tuk tuk tour of Santiago that we did with Kevin.
All in all a very well organized tour and a wonderful day!

David our guide made sure we had an amazing day! He was very knowledgeable and spoke English well. We never felt rushed. Actually we got to do things on our own time for the most part. I would definitely recommend David and this tour to all travelers!

David was an excellent guide. All of the stops were wonderful and good opportunities to see local businesses. Timing for everything was perfect. Prompt pick-up, good communication with the driver and guide, and we seemed to always beat the crowds at tourist spots and restaurants. Plenty of options to eat and drink, shop, see cultural sites, or simply sightsee, whatever you desire. Be prepared for steep hills and some choppy water in the afternoons. If you’re prone to motion sickness for the drive, bring some Dramamine. But that’s just the Guatemalan highland roads, nothing against our great driver.

It was a great day. Lake Atitlan is beautiful. Our driver picked us up on time, and we had breakfast at a delicious restaurant. Our tour guide Nicholas was wonderful. He provided us with lots of information and we learned so many things from him. He also made us feel safe. It was a great day, thank you!

We had a great time on this tour. The driver was very punctual, professional and safe driver. We stopped halfways to the lake at a very delicious breakfast place and then at the lake we were met with our tour guide and boat. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and explained everything to us. She also took us to a chocolate, honey and textile presentations which were all informative and nice to see. She was a really fast walker because we had a lot to see in a short amount of time which was fine for us but it might be a problem for other people.

We had the best time on this private excursion. Our driver Mario was on time and very patient with us. Even when we were running a little behind when we lost track of time shopping. Roberto was our tour guide and was very informative. He was patient while my sister and I took our time enjoying the tour. We would definitely do this tour again. The boat ride was very nice and we felt safe.
