Please note: The River Ouse in York can occasionally rise to levels that can have an impact on our daily operations after periods of heavy rainfall in the catchment area upstream. We will always attempt to sail for as long as it is safe to do so. There can come a point where our smallest boat can no longer fit underneath the bridges. Depending on the height of the river, we may not be able to sail at all. In this instance, you will either be eligible for a full refund or we will happily accept your ticket(s) on another date during your stay if we can sail.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund

This was a lovely way to spend a couple
of hours (sailing time is about 70 mins) we were greeted by a very friendly young lady and we directed below deck for a complimentary glass of Prosecco (soft/hot drinks are available as an alternative). There was soft music playing and the skipper asked if the level of the music was ok, there was a safety briefing and then we were off. The Ouse is stunning at night with the lights of the bridges. We even saw a fox on the waterside. It was incredibly relaxing and just a wonderful escape. All staff were amazing and I would highly recommend this as an activity. We are going to do some more of their cruises with our children.

Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The staff (Andy, Finn and Isabelle) were absolutely superb. Attentive, engaging and warm to all passengers on the cruise.
The experience itself was wonderful. The river was still and calm and cruise practically glided up and down before returning to dock.
We'd bundled this in as.part of my wife's birthday celebrations, and they were wonderful in giving her a birthday shout-out. Finn and Isabelle on the bar were fantastic. Great customer service from both.
Andy the skipper was wonderful as well, particularly when giving his anecdotes and stories as we came into dock.
A truly lovely experience, and one we cannot wait to come back and do again in the future.

We absolutely loved this evening river cruise and I highly recommend it. I went with my parents and can't wait to go again with my husband sometime, we had music whilst we sailed which i loved, views were gorgeous with bridges and buildings lit up. Andy who drove the boat made us laugh and did an exceptional job, thank you!

The worst cruise I’ve been on - total disappointment.
The expectations for this cruise painted by the operator do not meet the reality.
The boat was not floodlit. I was expecting jazz and swing but a cd playing Motown music was played.
I think I was expecting nice decor, balloons, jazz music, floodlights to see some of the York sites and sailing 30 mins in one direction and return.
It was cold, dark and we sailed in circles - sailing past the embarkation point 5 times. We couldn’t see anything other than bars that were lit up. The cruise vessel was not lit with floodlights.
There probably would’ve been more entertainment on a bus through town.
However One traveller was very drunk and disrupted all on board , and the crew seemed powerless to help but did fortunately close the bar and refuse hime drinks. He clearly and loudly made his view of world politics known and targeted a member of staff constantly. The comments made to this staff member were very embarrassing and offensive.
The whole trip was a waste of time and money

The cruise is a really lovely chilled experience, it is maybe slightly too long, however we really enjoyed it and the experience, staff are very nice 👍

Amazing thank you so much staff was fabulous ♥️♥️♥️ so romantic it was my 28th wedding anniversary we had a wonderful time it was a nice little touch with the free glass of fizz

I've been on the ouse cruise during the day and found this very informative. The night cruise doesn't offer this. Just 70 mins on the cold boat.... Background sounds, but no guide
telling us about the river. Disappointed

Would not recommend at all. Set off at 9:15pm all excited but after a few minutes we couldn’t wait to get off. There was no commentary about the area or what we were passing, just darkness, lots of trees, a floating bottle of prime, a swan and a lot of very bored people on board. We even passed a party boat at one point who were having far more fun than we all were, even the staff commented that they wished they were on the other boat! The chairs were plastic school chairs and there was some very faint background music that you could hardly hear. Couldn’t wait to get off, complete waste of time, don’t bother!

Great relaxing way to enjoy the River Ouse at nighttime. Great choice of music playing in the background soon brought out the romance in several of the couples on board including us who were celebrating our 30th Wedding Anniversary.
Recommended for lovers!

Keeping short and not so sweet!
Waste of money so avoid.
The only “sightseeing” is setting off and coming back and there isn’t much to see! 50mins of floating past bushes, shrubs a few luxury boats and floating rubbish.
No commentary, awful music and very dirty toilets.
Definitely not a sightseeing cruise across the river ouse
