I was recommended to Laura's in 2022 and the tour was fantastic. I came back in 2024 having visited 3 other plantations, two in Louisiana and one in Charleston. This is by far and away the most authentic with the best information regarding the complexities of southern USA slavery. If you're looking for a fancy house and only stories about the owner family and where they attained all their riches from, then this isn't for you, but if you want a window into the day to day lives of owners and slaves alike with jaw-dropping stories then you have found the best plantation to visit. I hope you enjoy it like I did (Twice!!!!)

Absolutely fabulous. Jay was a great guide. Beautiful place. We were too early for our booked tour and they moved us to an early tour with no problem.

This tour definitely gave you a little insight of the times and surprisingly to me, things have been preserved pretty well. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and very animated, so he made the story great!
