Itinerary
Meet at our Trailer in the Car Park at the beach end of Grove Road in Lorne next to the swimming pool at least 10 minutes prior to your lesson start time.
After completing your booking form and collecting your wetsuit and surf board with legrope, your instructor will lead you to the beach. You'll only need to take the equipment required for your lesson, there is storage available in the trailer for your personal belongings.
Instruction will begin with a safety talk and basic instruction on the beach. Spend about 30 minutes in the water to catch your first few waves with the instructors help. Return to the beach for additional instruction on stand up techniques. Spend the rest of the time in the water catching waves and standing up with instructors assistance.

Toby was such a fab coach.. we all had the BEST time!! All stood up and had such a blast. Would highly recommend to anyone who is visiting the area!!

Surf lesson with Joel was fantastic, highly recommend Go Ride a Wave to anyone in the area looking to get into it. Joel was very thorough with the lesson, and the boards and everything were top-tier.

My, husband, 2 teenagers and myself thoroughly enjoyed our surfing lesson with Lucy this morning. Lucy made sure we all experienced success at different levels. Her instructions were clear and easy to follow. Lucy had such a sense of calmness and positivity which made our experience so enjoyable!!

our instructor Tiy from New Zealand was on time, friendly , humorous and ensured our safety and taught the basics of surfing and safety well!
wet suits , rash guard , beginner foam boards provided .
rendezvous point for lesson at lorne beach in front of HAH cafe was easy to find, good coffee at cafe and free unlimited parking and has changing shower facilities ! ( but don’t expect warm showers )

Great experience! Nice two hours in the sea getting to know surfboarding. Great instructor as well, very patient and kind. Highly recommendable to try it!
