The perspective of the guide. The history of LGBTQIA in Porto is not very apparent. But with Ricardo's explanations and stories., it really comes to life. I would recommend this tour for everyone who is interested in this subject, but especially the youth and the people LGBT people who are interested in moving to Porto.

Ricardo is an absolutely fantastic guide to queerness in porto. We learned about the city and country's LGBTIQ+ history, social and political movements while also getting acquainted with great LGBTIQ+ spots - cafes, nightlife, and culture for our stay. The content was also insightful and inclusive to racial, gender, sexual, and economic diversity in a powerful way. Highly recommend. Go!

Ricardo provided such an informative tour experience working from the foundation of his own life as he grew up in Porto. Each of the stops in the tour was designed to illustrate a significant moment of time in history specific to the evolution (or failures) of acceptance for many of the more diverse members of the Portuguese community. Ricardo's knowledge on this aspect of our society is stellar and his own personal insights as well as his deep level of passion about caring for all persons is continuously evident. We learned so much --- and in some ways, he helped to adjust our own thinking so that we left the tour recalibrated and more energized in caring for all persons. The pacing of the tour was very comfortable and in three hours (which seemed like 15 minutes) we covered a lot of ground as well as many very significant moments in the history of the Portuguese society. This was a superb tour experience and we would highly recommend it when visiting lovely Porto.

This is a great opportunity to spend time with someone who really knows things about Porto that not many others (that I have met) have experienced. Ricardo has a great way about him and is open to questions about himself and his city. We really enjoyed meeting him and learning the history of the evolution of human rights in general in Portugal. Much similarities to our country, but also differences. So glad we went. Thanks, Ricardo.

My husband and I had the pleasure to meet Ricardo and shared a wonderful afternoon with him walking through the city of Porto. We learned a lot about the local LGBTQIA+ community, about Porto's queer history and Ricardo's own experience growing up as a gay young man in Porto. The tour exceeded our expectactions. Ricardo is a wonderful, kind, knowledgeable and fun tour guide and soul. We can recommend this tour to anyone who wants to learn more about LGBTQIA+ history, topics and rights. Obrigado , Ricardo :)!

Best walking tour I’ve ever been on! Despite the intense rain, Ricardo gave us a phenomenal tour for just the two of us. He brought us to historical queer landmarks in Porto and other queer-run/focused shops like a queer bookstore. I believe this is really important because queer tourism is often reduced to gay bars, but as a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I feel it’s important to support queer communities outside of nightlife when I am traveling. And I feel I was really able to do that during this tour! Ricardo also shared his personal experiences with us, taking us to key places in his life. These personal stories made me feel comfortable on the tour as a gay person. Ricardo even helped us find additional events beyond the tour that we were interested in. I would recommend this tour for anyone looking to explore the queer history of Porto!! It was an amazing tour and Ricardo is an even more amazing tour guide and person!

As an advocate for equality and inclusivity, I recently participated in this LGBTQ tour in the vibrant city of Porto, Portugal. This one-of-a-kind experience not only celebrated diversity but also provided a comprehensive insight into the fascinating origins of the LGBTQ march in Porto. From start to finish, the tour exceeded my expectations, leaving me with a deeper appreciation for the struggles, triumphs, and rich history of the local LGBTQ community. Our guide, passionate and knowledgeable, welcomed us with open arms and a warm smile. Their genuine enthusiasm for sharing the history of Porto's LGBTQ community was apparent from the very beginning. Throughout the tour, they fostered an atmosphere of acceptance, making everyone feel comfortable and included.
