This was a great experience that Andy set up for us. He was very professional, helpful, courteous and an overall good guy. We used him for a number of different tours as well, including the helicopter ride over the falls. He was responsible for all of our taxi rides and transfers in Livingstone, Zambia. It felt like he was our personal local guide for our trip!

Shepard taxi from hotel to handoff to next driver was filthy dirty, smelled and didn’t want to touch anything. Driver even tried to get us to change out US money for him. Second driver to the actual falls excursion was helpful, clean vehicle. The guides at the falls wouldn’t take no for answer if you didn’t want to hang by your ankles on the falls. Came off pushy to try and pressure you into participating!

DO IT. Absolutely great experience and service and worth every cent and more. Devil’s Pool is an absolute must do - incredible adventure and breathtaking views, though it was provided by another operator. Andy’s service was also excellent. Spoke with him over a few months prior to our trip to figure out what could be done in the timeframe (with border crossings and all) and he was very responsive throughout via WhatsApp. The pick up, border crossings and drop off were seamless as well. Would recommend his services to everyone.

I was traveling on an organized tour in Namibia and Botswana. I have been asking my tour operator for days to reserve this trip for me. On the day of the trip, at 7 am, I was told it wasn't possible. I reserved it myself via Viator and got in contact with the tour operator Shepherd Taxi and Tours. They were very responsive and helped me organize everything, because I was traveling from Botswana to Zimbabwe on the same day! We had to arrange a pickup from the Zambian border.
The trip itself was excellent, very well organized and safe. Just amazing!

These guys are pros! They're incredibly brave and professional. I purchased the tour from Viator which uses the local tour company, Shepherd. Shepherd contacted me via WhatsApp and went through everything with me. For a small fee, they arranged roundtrip transport from and to my hotel in Victoria Falls. This was not included in the tour. I was transported across the border to Zambia. All went quickly and smoothly (maybe cuz it was low season). From there we met up with others and signed some papers. Then a short boat ride on the river which leads to Livingstone Island, which is on top of the Falls. It's beautiful! From there we got ready to walk over to the edge of the Falls where we got into Angel's Pool. It's hella scary but the guys held our hands, literally, and slowly and carefully told us exactly what to do. The whole time they had our phones and were taking pictures and videos of us. Make sure your phone is waterproof or in a waterproof case cuz it may still get wet even though they put it in a Ziploc bag for protection. The spray of the falls is soaking! Afterwards, you're given a delicious breakfast, depending on the time slot u choose. From door to door, my tour was 9:10am to 12:50 pm. It was an experience of a lifetime!

I can't say enough about this tour. First of all, super punctual and organized and very communicative about all aspects of the tour. You can always reach them via WhatsApp and ask any and all questions you have. I paid extra for a pickup and drop off from and to my hotel. From there they took us to the border. Immigration went quick and smoothly (I was there in wet season). We were handed off to another driver who took us through Zambia where were were oriented with the tour. We took a gorgeous speedboat ride through to Livingstone Island where we did the daring angel's pool. The walk through the Rick's is easy and we held hands and felt safe with our fearless leaders. We got into the falls and handed our phones to our guides. They took the beat video and pictures! They're pros! Then we were given a delicious breakfast and headed back. Door to door was about 9am to 1pm. I believe Viator used Shepherd Tours and Taxi for this tour who in turn works with Tongabezi for the excursion. It was all top notch. I would do it all over again!

I definitely recommend doing this. It was amazing even though I can't swim and had to go in 'baby pool'. Learn to swim, kids!
