Had an amazing time on this tour - It was just about perfect. The animals, wildlife and scenery were breathtaking. Some highlights were the sunrise bird watch tour as well as the piranha fishing (I almost caught one but it slipped off my hook!) The guides all speak multiple languages (French, Spanish, Portuguese, English), so it's easy to follow the tours. They were also very flexible in working around various travel arrangements, which was nice. The only downside was that on my final day I ended up missing my 8:45am flight back to Cusco because the transfer from the jungle eco-lodge to the airport took too long (we had to take a 30 minute boat ride to the shore and the taxi that was meant to take me to their airport showed up late). It ended up costing me quite a bit to book another flight and I was in a rush to get to Cusco since I had booked a tour to machu pichu. I guess my recommendation would be to try ask to go to Peurto Maldonado, the nearby town, the evening before any early morning travel since it's obviously quite remote. But this does not take away too much from the overall amazing experience I had and the helpfulness of al the staff.

The guide ( Jesus) was excellent. The facilities were not adequately described by Viator. For example there was only electric power from 6pm to 9:30 pm; thus my CPAP machine was of no use. There was no internet and this made coordinating plans for post jungle travel difficult. Both these limitations should be disclosed by Viator. Also regular sheets were used for bug netting over beds. This made sleeping even more uncomfortable than need be. This was penny saving at customer expense. Finally we felt the trip was over charging based on the quality of the facility and what local prices are for lodging and meals.

An awesome tour to do in Puerto Maldonado. I came in early December and the weather was perfect, it barely rained. Our tour guide Johnathon was great and very knowledgeable about all things nature in this area of the Amazon.

Great guided excursions into the jungle to see alligators, capybaras, birds at Sandoval lake, and a night jungle walk. Trip to the parrots was from the boat only and the birds were far away. We did see a sloth! Food was fine. The staff was accommodating and my guide for four days, Juan Jose, spoke good English and was so knowledgable, friendly and helpful! Be prepared for no hot water, no electricity except between hours 5-9 pm, and NO internet. Be prepared for garbage and plastics floating down the mighty river and even trash on some of the trails. So disappointing. Where's the local effort to address this, every lodge has a responsibility.
