This is a typical itinerary for this product
Stop At: Arkansas River, CO
A favorite for families with young children or more mature adult groups looking to get on the river without the stress of intense whitewater. After arriving at our office, getting checked in, changing into your river clothes and listening to a safety orientation, you will be driven to the put-in, located approximately 20 minutes from our office.
Once there, you will get on the river and enjoy the ride. Most groups chose to not paddle along, enabling you to enjoy the picturesque views, bouncy rapids and quality time with family and friends while the guide maneuvers the boat. After the trip, we will drive you back to our office where you can view the professional photos taken of your trip. We look forward to getting on the river with you!

Authentic advertising. This is not a family friendly float trip when you have to go over the 3rd wave in Salida. There is no way I would take a child over that! Very scary. The other two waves and the dam chute were also more than what I would consider part of a mild float trip, but the big wave was dangerous. We repeatedly asked when booking and signing in if this was a “mild” float trip!

Awesome trip, Jake was an excellent guide, very professional and fun— especially with 3 boys who are 10, 9 and 7 on their first rafting adventure! We all can’t wait to go again!

We were very fortunate to have an incredible guide, Courtney (Big Country). She made the experience very enjoyable. She had complete control of the raft, but made us all feel very involved. Her positive, high energy made the ride even more thrilling than I had expected. During the slower moments, she filled our heads with points of interest and relevant history stories. We challenged her to make the ride as exciting as possible and she came though, going through shoots backwards and rubbing rocks and such.

Caroline was great with our group of 5 adults, 2 kids - none of whom had been on a rafting adventure before! Everyone enjoyed the scenery and mix of relaxing pace and bumps that were just the right amount of thrill for the kids. Highly recommend this for a beginner group; we felt well informed and safe while having some fun on this beautiful segment of the Arkansas River!

We had a blast! Lana was very engaging with our group, funny and witty. Randy who was our bus driver was entertaining, as well.
Lana took the time to give us a very detailed instructions on the do's and don't's of rafting, very safety orientated.
The river was beautiful and the ride went very smoothly. We were vacationing from St. Louis, MO and the views were just breathtaking.

I brought 6 kiddos (ages 4-13) on the trip all of which had never rafted before. They were a little apprehensive but quickly warmed up and wanted more!! Carolina was our guide and she was awesome. She made the trip more fun with squirt guns and did a great job directing them. I highly recommend this trip to families that want a fun rafting experience without scaring the young or young at heart.

We were all first time rafters and absolutely loved it! Chachi was absolutely incredible! A couple of times things got pretty intense, but he kept us all in the boat and made us all feel at ease. Would definitely recommend this location and guide! Thanks Chachi for the great memories on our Wal-Dunn vacation!

Great Guide, her name is Lana. Float was approximately 2Hr on water...quiet, nice, relaxing, saw birds, deer, hawks. Nice facility and it was Clean and employees are nice

We did the half day ‘family’ float and it was the perfect length and ability level. Our guide, Michael, kept things entertaining and informative- plus we had enough info to feel confident and at ease. We loved it!
